I participated in an all PM normal shroud yesterday, and it was quite fun... most of us were lvl 20, some lvl 18 and maybe one lvl 17 were in, too. A few TRs, but most people seemed to be in the "normal" range of gear and stats, around 350-450 hp. I only saw 5 mabar robes, but maybe we had some mabar docents, too.

P1: a bit slower than usual, but portals take negative energy damage..
P2: whos doing crystal?
P3: as usual - nobody had FOM but actually, pale masters dont need it since they cant be held.
P4: we tried to stay all in the middle and heal through the blades - even on normal, they ground us to a big heap of lich dust. We readjusted strategy, went in again (3 people left but were easily replaced), jumped out of the center when blades closed in and only one of us died. Harry went down easily in round 2.
P5: much easier than part 4 atm.

so, even 12 negative energy auras going and people spamming negative energy bursts is not enough to heal through the blades...

Thanks to the leader (forgot his name), looking forward to try again on wednesday if the opportunity arises ;)

Wouldnt expect it to be ~ PMs have fantastic healing over time but the burst healing leaves a lot to be desired...

As it pretty much should be ~ decent burst heaing is the domain of the living...

Balance in all things...

It's also note meantionign thant 12 auras plus blades plus aharry spells = 'some' lag so perhaps some spike was server side :P

I don't know how many times I've heard this....

But can you really JUMP OVER the blades? When there's a GAP to use?

Anyone's done jumping over without getting hurt before?

Yes you can jump the blades, but its generally easier to just find the path around them. I have jumped them in both pt 3 and 4 post-u12. The ring of blades is easy to just scoot through the gap. The individual blades are easy to just side-step. This assuming you arent a melee with pit fiend butt blocking half your screen and preventing your ability to monitor their locations.

Grats on completion OP.

I believe the blades get higher as they bunch up. As I can jump the individual blades which follow you easily, but have seen plenty of monks who wait till the last jump abundant step and drop dead.

They only have 45hp total right?

Running out of the middle should only mean you get hit once...

I was going to write about this as well.

was a lot of fun. And the only successful Shroud I've been on lately.

The lag from all the auras really was bad though...and took some of the fun away for me.

In fact, I'm still not sure that the failed first run didn't have a lot to do with the huge amount of lag we had....I couldn't tell where the blades were or move out of the way if I had wanted to. :(

I thought the portals went down at about the same speed as most PUGs I run with. Although I have seen them drop much faster at times...

The few deaths we had on the second run also may have been do to lag as well. Although I did notice that one of the guys who died was one of the squishier ones.

The successful run had no one with 500 or more HP. I think three had less than 300. About half had over 400, I think.

Thought it was pretty cool that the one guy converted to PM just for that raid, but said he liked it so much that he may stay a PM!

Anyway, was great fun. Made my weekend.
