Don't know why Turbine thought the icons for Potion of Disease Removal and Potion of Curse Removal needed to be changed, but now they look identical and it's terribly confusing. Please change them so they look distinct.

They are even on the wands, with the spell effect covered by a tiny potion. Somehow the Artificer Infusion spell line icons were put on them, if running something like VoD where remove Curse is key, best just drop the disease removal ones from hotbar to avoid confusion/misclicks until they (hopefully) reverse the change.

I have gone back and put my curse pots/spells all on the same hot key so that I can hopefully avoid not hitting the wrong one. I'm not impressed with this graphic change.

Yo dawg I heard you like potion icons so I put potion icons on your potion icons so you can see the same thing when you look at potions.

Why they changed these I have no idea...... It's nto as if 1,000's of OTHER things didn't need to be FIXED... I'm sure even the art team could find at lest a few hundred more important thigns to do then mess with icons that are just fine they are... I mean really who's making these decisions? Is this REALLY where your priorities are as far as resources go? REALLY???

Yep.... I hate to beat on the working Joe's of this game... But I mean really...

I still lay it largely on the lap of the "Producers" who IMO have been a complete failure over the last 6 months.... There seems to be a complete lack of driven focus from the leadership, it's this scattered about A.D.D all over the place never really finishing anything type of work. Of course that's from my chair.... :o

typical...

give us stuff no one cares about or asks for.

change stuff that blanket-nerfs months of planning/grinding.

drag heels on the stuff that's important.

Developers: Was this intentional? If so, not enjoying the change.

So this is like that glass of wine I spilled last night....

Forgive me, but it's hard to tell what's intentional and not intentional any more around the joint......

Thanks for chiming in.... :D

Major, is this related to the armor coloring issue?
Just curious.

I feel the same way with the direction the game has taken.
Incomplete systems. Abandon systems. Changes that are questionable or don't make sense. Broken systems which remain broken year after year. Even the forums are broken, the forums of a multi million dollar business is broken.

Yeah, the tiny tiny icon on the icon looks like it would be clearer than the old icon if it were the only icon being used.

Not intentional.

It might not be intentional, but was it something that was really warranted or asked for to begin with?

As Smatt stated, it seems the priority of fixing things are out of whack. I don't know anyone who asked or wanted the curse icon to change because they were confused by it..but the Boots of Anchoring icon has been asked to be unique. Since the Boots of Anchoring is important to a raid, it would seem that they would be a priority over pot icons.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'd like to see (and I've stated a few times) a difference between buff icons and de-buff icons on my buff bar. Again, I don't think this is a priority, especially compared to the Boots of Anchoring icon, but its something that has been asked for.

It's like broken spells and items in the game not being fixed, but FoM gets the priority over fixing them. (I'll concede the WF immunity, but FoM should protect against grappling.)

It'd be nice to learn WHY something got a priority or change once in a while, especially when people are demanding a small change that can help them that seems to be ignored often: the Boots of Anchoring icon being unique.

Not intentional.

Phew... Just didn't make sense to me. I can't imagine who would have approved that change...

In the meantime I guess I'll separate the two potions on my hotbar and try to remember where I keep each one. Hope this gets fixed...

Then again most of the time when I click a potion or a clicky, it looks like it fires (ie cooldown) but never actually takes effect... But that's another thread...

Well, for once I understand them doing this - to a point.

You could have a summer hire / college student create icons and their maskings. I should know as I created icons for GEM (anyone remember Graphical Environment Manager?) while getting up to speed on the complex coding and compiling.

Now, why they didn't put up a poll and ask VOTE ICON (A) or ICON (B) and let the majority decide I still don't understand. Keeping fluff away from your public (and limiting it to Mournlands when there is no reason for an NDA to keep their "corporate secrets" from the competitors) is pretty stupid. Heck, even DRI and Apple did surveys with each other about icons (in the midst of the lawsuit over GEM).
