Please, just take the next year and just fix bugs, finish Pre's and work on druid.
Please...enough constantly changing how raids work, how spells work, what loot does, how you acquire it...on and on and on and on og. You think you are balancing things but it's just becoming one giant cluster-
I mean, at what point are we finally going to know how AC/intim./wings/helplessness/handwraps/raids etc.. work in the game and be able to count on it? I don't care what we end up with...just figure it out so it works and stick with it.
I know there was a time when this game was starving for content and almost died but now there is so much new borked stuff out the uncertainty is overwhelming and annoying. How many crafting systems do we have now? 37?
What's Velah going to do next week, emit oozes from her armpits? It's anyone's guess.

+1
By the time they finish "fixing" things that aren't broken, they'll have to go back and refix them again anyway, starting the cycle all over again.
This is especially annoying in the case of PRE's. Over time some of the original ones are losing some of their appeal either because newer PRE's are better or just because of accumulated changes to the class in general. If you have to buff up a PRE or two for each new one you release, of course it's going to take forever.

I only hope they put something else out this year because this update is pretty weak in comparison to prior ones.
The amount crafting items/collectables are going beyond excessive. How fun are the new quests really when you cannot pick up crests because your bags are full from other garbage already?
But yeah, I totally agree that changing items that aren't broken and ignoring ones that are is really silly. Sure Turbine needs to make money, so how about putting out quality over quantity and see how that works out ?
I wouldn't worry too much about acid oozing from velah's pits though... ...seriously she has a long neck and her chin should be far enough away from them :p
Meh, at least MW3 can hold me over until December.

Yes!! This!!!
For goodness sakes, not having some new darn quest chain doesn't ruin the game for me.
Having something I've worked for (in game) for weeks or months not work because of bugs ruins the game.
I can't tell you how annoyed and frustrated I feel every new update that handwraps are still bugged as ****.
This game would be so good with a bit of quality control and common sense. Fix the death by 1000 cuts we get.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! You guys are funny.
I'd be totally flabbergasted if, by next November, you were all still playing this game without there being any new content in the intervening 12 months.
The bugs aren't that bad.
The changes are, for the most part, not crippling unless you built a character exclusively to exploit something that was very, very powerful (or clearly in need of fixing). Yeah, it's a pain, but it is only rarely a major hindrance that calls for revision of a character.

Yeah!
All this back and forth rubs me the wrong way!

The bugs aren't bad, really. There are certainly some that are unpleasant and some that are hard to define (looking at you memory leak bug) but game breaking widely effecting bugs are squashed quickly. Just look at the two new bugs that came out that are already being looked at for a patch (armor color change and visible hidden monsters).
As far as PRE's go, I would be surprised if nothing was done about them in 2012. I think we yelled at Maj so loud when he asked, he is temporarily deafened.
So just finished and put a nice big happy list together.
So do you guys want finished PrEs? i can't tell.

That's horrible. Terrible...
...that y'all posted it before I got to it. :p
I've considered suggesting in other threads that maybe an Update directed primarily at bug fixes might not be a bad thing for folks to get together on. But then remember that most folks around now didn't experience the Mod-9 drought, so may not have the patience to weather such a non-meaty Update.

Seems like someone doesn't understand how MMO development works.

I've considered suggesting in other threads Thought this was going somewhere completely different based on the above... :p

Look at some of the major releases of the past: Gianthold, Shroud, Orchard...when was the last time we had a release on that scale? Red Fens was close with 2 short quests, 1 medium and 1 long, a moderately sized explorer zone, named items from all of the quests, and epic difficulty installed on all the quests, but it still felt lacking for having no raid, no side quests, and only the one long quest.

Lol yeah. Turbine.
At least they don't seem to understand that more people (read: customers...revenue sources...) would like to have a quality game instead of "more more more".

/sigh'ned
Somewhere out there is a Dev post about how Turbine would rather create new content than tinker with old stuff.

Only if the bug fixes drop loot upgrade mats!
