What good is 1 million plat?

So my banker (Haggle bard) has reached 1 million plat again. The last few times I hit the million mark I spent it on a few Shroud Ingerdients. Time before that (Cove gave me 9 million) I blew it on a few "elite" items. Asside from spending it in the AH on normal **** or buying "one big ticket item" what good is 1 million plat?

SF pots and yugo pots don't come cheap, and your haggle bard can't use his/her skills for them. I spent about 800k equipping myself for a TR and most went on potions. My Hagglemonkey hit over a mill just last week so I bought 3 LDS for around 900k. Most trades for top scrolls/items tend to be in LDS/FRDS anyway.

Open the Who tab, check for level 1-4 characters and mail them 9999 plat.

That's what I do when I'm on a good mood after pulling the loot I wanted from a raid or completing a "hard" HoX on pugs.

I have so much plat that I have nothing to buy. Ingredients from the Shroud are nice but if I want more I run the quests/raid. Is there a single item that is worth 1 million? I see the "top gear" here in the forums and nothing is that "head and shoulders" above what I have.

Here is a better question. What have you spent 1 million plat on? Pots and scrolls are considered "consumables" and should be part of the "self-sufficiency" of a toon.

250k in Pots, scrolls, wands and Inscription material for my next TR to Wizard.

I spend all my plat on pots, and not the one's you're probably thinking, but like supreme ardor V pots, radiance, etc. But since you craft, you probably made the bugged exploit 6 click clicky of all the ones you want anyway. But other pots, yugo pots especially. You can start to get addicted to yugo pots if you have enough of them bought and stored away.

I spend most of my plat on large devil scales and epic scrolls.

I also bought some essences a while back to get my crafter up into the 80s.

well i cant beleive your saying better gear is only marginal over the gear myDDO says your using on the 4 toons youve posted....

my guess is your not running harder epics nor the raids on epic or top levels....from wat i see you need about 30million more plat and 6 months of grind to make your toons as godly as you think yours are.........

Uh yeah, I have to agree with this... Looks to me you should at least be buying some more Shroud ingrediants and maybe get a Lit II weapon for your barbarian instead of a +4 Shocking Burst Greataxe of Pure Good.

Do your characters have 2 planar girds (or 1 planar gird and a draconic necklace)?
Do your characters have firestorm greaves and/or an Ice Cloak?
Do your characters have Haste clickables and Displacement clickables from the Shroud?

Seems like he just reached cap. Not much Raid loot and in need of finished Greensteel.

Pity you didnt make yourself some Epic cavalry plate or some other Epic bits from the recent events, they were extraordinarily easy to make.

You can buy some really good items such as the teleport mask or boots of innocence or beholder optics.

A million plat would buy you one of those or a Planar Gird.

I never said my gear or toons were LEET. I said that 1 million plat does not go far toward making a huge improvement. You are correct. The needed amount is about 30 mill and 6 months of mindless grinding. Meh. I'll pass.

My barbarian has 2 Greensteel Great axes. He has one MinII and one Triple Pos. He also has a thick layer of dust as I never play him. His last 6 quest completions are Reavers Fate for Madstone boots and Shroud grinding.

I did make Epic Cavalry Plate tier 3. It will not fit on my Warforged Barb. You are correct. I capped him. Played around for a while and shifted gears to my TR which is unlisted.

i fail to see your self sufficiency go try LOB....and to this......I see the "top gear" here in the forums and nothing is that "head and shoulders" above what I have.no one item im sure is this huge jump but from wat i see your missing many and that is head and shoulders above your set up.....get some scrolls shroud ing hell even frds if that fancy red armour is ur thing etc thier is alot of things you could spend plat on...how about boot ing as it seems your not doing TOD and you really should be....hell most of my friends can spend triple that just getting consumabbles for a TR....does your cleric have resurection scrolls couple hundred heal scrolls??thats 30 to 50k right thier....your wf have recon scrolls for wizzys to heal you he has 500 tonics? you have yugo favour to by those pots?i can go on and on

I agree 100%. The 4 toons I list in my sig are capped but no were near endgame. The whole point of the thread was to confirm that 1 million plat does not go far. Almost every single post including yours back this up.

There are tons of items that I could farm for.

I do have boots of Anchoring. I do not enjoy TOD.

I have 14 Greensteel items done through tier 3. I have 2 more GS blanks and enough large to finish them. I do not want to.

I have 8 shards and 6 seals. I have no desire to farm Epics anymore.

I would love to be in a guild that runs stacked Raids every night. That is not the situation I am in. So...I am resigned to grinding my TR.

I have never had a good experience in TOD. Always with the finger pointing and yelling. And the failing.....

1 million plat is a lot to many many people and would enable the same people to gear there 1st life characters reasonanly well with stat items.

When i first started DDO someone gave me 16k plat and i thought id won the lottery.

When I TR I generally spend more than I earn for the first few level ups. Depending on the gear I have to purchase I may be spending money up to lvl 15 when I upgrade their gear. Then it's profit after that but to answer your question the plat will fund your TR ensuring that he's twinked the whole time.

To keep this spending to a minimum I have a mule toon that carries gear for my TR. It has +1 to +6 stat gear along with Abishi and consumables. It is very expensive to level up and run to the AH to see what you can were for that level.

Apart from that, make sure all toons are stocked with pots/scrolls of whatever kind they need.

And then the occasional "twink" item for levelling or luxury item that you just haven't thought of yet!
