One more thing after upgrading to 11 hirelings are dumber, stand still taking damage in the traps, they rush to attack enemies even being in defensive mode, an example clerics, in place to protect you and heal or remove status are for the field battle and favored souls do not even putting in offensive mode, sp consume in a matter of seconds with unnecessary actions, I think it should be more accurate to use the command modes, defensive (protect without leaving the front), but the offense will everything's going to beat up everyone. The secrets should attack from a distance and not seek the battlefield in order to cast defensive buffs, and insults aggressively use magic, but at a distance.

I don't understand all of your post, but I would like to suggest a potential workaround.
Set the hireling's behavior to Aggressive (crossed swords) in order to fix the broken AI. You can then put the hireling back on Defensive (Shield) after that if you want to, but start by putting it on Aggressive first in order to reset the AI.

I don't write english so fine, but i will try. In the game, when i put in defensive mode (as I have come to summon), the cleric attacks everithing go and what he sees, and worse still stoped in traps, taking damage, he is trying to heal but as there's no time to cast it remains the trap and then dies. for sample i use cleric lvl 14 with metor fall, after i use (in defensive mode shild icon active) she still ataccking and forget to heal me. and a favored even in defensive mode still attacking.

The hirelings' behavior is currently broken in U11. I don't know if this was fixed in U12, but we'll probably find out soon.
Putting the hireling on Aggressive behavior fixes the AI for the duration of that summon. Putting them back onto Defensive after that does not break the hireling's behavior, but it will be broken if you dismiss the hireling and summon it again (for example, in a new quest).
