If an artificer has the arcane empowerment capstone enhancement, does that mean there would be no difference between using a wand of lightening bolt and a wand of lightening bolt (8th), because the enhancemnt raises the wands level to yours? Is that how it works?

If not could someone please explain it to me?

this is correct, though the DC won't be great. I was using up a scorching ray wand i had in my inventory (been sitting in there for ages & is an easier one to see the effect on), only an ml3 version & it was casting multiple rays quite handily.

I capped my arty last night & am already loving the CL20 clickies.. no need to farm for morahs belt to get a decent jump score, if i wanna save SP resist energy/prot from energy wands are just as good as casting them myself, long-lasting haste clickies, 20min deathward from the visor, 20min Shield buff from wands... and the ring of spellstoring gives 105sp back per charge - looking forward to getting my bauble too, then thats essentially (since theres a chance you dont even consume charges) at least 2 free major mana pots per rest if necessary without having to grind out epics.

The only problem is that with so many cool & actually useful (beyond only very small periods for emergencies) clickies, scrolls, wands etc. you can end up being a bit of a packrat with somewhat limited loot space.. :)

An interesting side effect of the CL boost though is that while levelling especially, if you find, say, a level 11 resist energy wand & use it at level 11 to 15 or so, it'll actually have a longer lasting effect than casting it from memory.
