Need advice for a WF Sorc mid-level gear.

I recently rolled a Warforged Sorcerer (earth savant with fire minor for leveling), and am needing some advice on what gear I should farming for to make my leveling process as easy as possible to get to 20. I've really only played melees before, and finding the good gear for them was relatively easy.

I already know the basics:


Find the best Major Lore items I can for my main damaging spells
Item with high spell points
Clickies of Superior XXX for 75% damage to spells.
+6 Charisma and Constitution Item
Get a +45 HP and Conc Opp Green Steel item
Farm for Storm Reaver's Napkin


I already have the Beholder Plate Docent, a Pirate Hat with Archmagi and Concentration +15 (for level 15) and am planning on farming Blue Dragon Scales for my Blue Dragon Scale Docent as well. But, what other items are best for other slots?

At level 9, I am currently using:


Bladmark Docent (Best I could think of until Blue Dragon Scale Docent)
Level 5 Abishai Set (Mainly for the full set bonus)
Greater Cunning Trinket
Ring of Feathers
Rugged Belt (Korthos)
other random WAY under leveled items for a level 9 Sorc to be using.

Thanks for any help you are willing to offer. I'm currently loving playing my sorc, but I know that his gear could be MUCH better.

I like the Elfcrafted Docent (Arcane Lore, Evocation Focus, Minor Spell Pen VII, min level 10) myself, if you've got some spare relics lying around.

This. So much bang for your buck.

Also consider a Greater Evocation Focus Cannith crafted item (or Greater Conjuration if you are levelling as acid, which I highly recommend). It can be a ring with a guild augment slot on it.

You can do much better than the Abishai set if you get people to cannith craft for you. With ship buffs, there's just not enough reason to give up five equipment slots. Chances are you can use Power IX, resistance +4, stat +5, skill +11 much more.

I ran through Gianthold last night on my 19 monk, and get enough Elven Relics to get the Elf Crafted Docent. My original thinking was why get that one, when I can just use a Blue Dragon Scale Docent 2 levels later. Then I realized that it would probably take me about 3-4 weeks just to get enough Blue Dragon Scales, and that's if I'm lucky. So Thanks for the advice.

I'm currently using Power VII, but the rest of those do make a lot more sense. Hopefully should be at the level to start working on finding my Torc, and napkin here soon.
