Hello all, New DDO player attempting my first multi class build.
My main goal is for a twf dps with the ability to take care of traps. Melee priority, will use the bow to pull or ranged if needed only. I will be playing along side a friend who is doing a FVS/Rogue build, she will be handling Heals and Unlocks as well as adding dps. I am on a F2P account for now, i have purchased 32pt builds and am planning on buying the +2 supreme tome at 7.
I would like it to be viable in epics or pug groups once i get up there, but i dont expect it to be king of the hill. Just a fun slightly versatile character to duo with, and occasionally solo.
I have no idea on the enhancements so if anyone can offer suggestions there i would be very grateful, I think i have UMD Search and Disable high enough, but again i am not positive i haven't taken a character past 6 myself yet.

I would reccomend not splitting thief skills between 2 toons.
Monk2 FVS18 will work better for your friend than rogue. or pure FVS even.
I think that you need to reorder your classes a bunch probably.
rogue at 1st and then 8th probably (waiting until 20 for evasion will suck)
get Kensai early, for getting your skills up you probably want to be alternating rgr and ftr for quite some time - problem is that you get rgr
I would also drop cha and wis two points each to get 16s in dex and con.

She has a 20 cleric and a 20 fvs, and although she hasnt played the game in several years until she talked me into trying it, she is aware a monk splash is more typical, She is interested in playing a FVS with a rogue splash, neither of us can get umd open lock and search/disable device on one character in our builds so thats why we opted to split them.
The rogue levels were to max skills not evasion, I am fairly sure that the ranger mix with decent umd wands, potions and fvs heals should be more then enough to keep me up when duoing and in groups ill just take care to use my head and not absorb needless damage.
I left dex at 15 because getting the +2 tome at 7 gives me all the dex i need for feats, why spend the extra point in it?
Why do i want to alternate figher and ranger levels? doesnt that just push off pretty much all damaging abilites to end game?

The benefit of swapping rgr levels later is that rgr levels have more skillpoints and so it will be easier to keep more skills at a higher level especially since search is a class skill for rangers.
You can let some rog skills lag and pump extra points into them during the rog level at 8 as well.
even if your last rgr level was 15 you could get most things that you need by then and should have a better set of end skills I think.
You would probably want to take improved twf as soon as you could though and right before taking the rgr level swap it with OTWF probably so that it isn't wasted.

Here's an updated version of an old build of mine. Because of the nerf to Tempest I, it actually back-loads the pre-reqs so it can take other feats sooner - namely the Passage DMs and khopesh prof. It's a bit of a themed novelty build, but Expeditious Retreat is always welcome, IMHO, and Dimension Door is occasionally quite handy.
Enhs can be tweaked; you could, e.g., give up some HPs and/or STR for more heal amp or Versatility.

That looks really cool unbongwah, so if i read this right i can start duel wielding Khopesh's at 3? or will there still be to much missing with offhand?
The Disable and OL skills are high enough thro the progression i can do traps and locks in groups as i level?
and since the second rogue level is taken at 8 i should just wear light armor thro its entire life for evasion?
Thanks alot for your help, much appreciated.

I don't advise switching to twf until you have greater two weapon fighting, which will be at level 12. You'll have a higher attack bonus and do more damage until that point with a two handed weapon.
One of the few benefits of taking spring attack is that you can twitch without worrying about the loss to your attack bonus and this will increase your damage output by quite a bit.

Yes to both; so you might want to use khopesh + light offhand or 2H weapons for the first several levels (esp. if you've got Carnifex). If you decide to do the latter, you can delay khopesh until later in the build, letting you move up, say, the Dodge / M / SA chain a few levels.
The Disable and OL skills are high enough thro the progression i can do traps and locks in groups as i level? You'll need some decent trap gear as you go, but yes, you should be fine.
and since the second rogue level is taken at 8 i should just wear light armor thro its entire life for evasion?Yeah, since the first ftr lvl isn't until after you have Evasion, you'll only be proficient with light armor early on anyway. Although you could start taking ftr lvls sooner if you want the extra feats earlier; there's ample room for modifying this build.
I've also got an elf version of this; her trap skills are not as good (lower base INT & no bonus skill pts) and her HPs are a bit lower, but she has full ranged feats and Arcane Archer to boot.
