Hi people :)

Just TRed one of my characters in a bard build, still not sure of how will be the progression in the higher levels (15+)... this is what i have in mind. Any advice is welcome :D

My idea is a bard who can melee properly (sneak attacks mainly) with two handed weapons, buff, full halfling's heroic companion line and heal using scrolls. I'm not sure if i'm gonna get only bard charisma II and wand and scroll mastery II, but i'm short of AP and this is the first idea.

I didn't get THF because it only increases the glancing blows chance, it doesn't seem too good for me considering other feat options.

It's still missing the skills, basically i would get full UMD, diplo, balance, perform and maybe bluff. A bit concentration too.

TWF + SA damage is much more synergistic than THF + SA damage. But then, the feats are tight on a pure bard. THF has also glancing blows which can harm your fascinated mobs.

If you want to stay pure bard, your feats are mainly OK, but I'm not too sure if SF: UMD is really needed. You'll have to decide this for yourself.

Anyway, I do consider Halfling Guile/Cunning to be very expensive on the higher tiers. On my rogue, I only pushed them to III. I consider Wand & Scroll Mastery to be much more important. On a melee Bard, Cha is not that important; starting with 12 or 14 is more than OK.

If you are willing to splash, I'd go 16/2 fighter/2 rogue having 9 feats at your disposal and take (in no particular order):

TWF
ITWF
GTWF
WF: Slash/Pierce
Extend
Power Attack
Toughness
IC: Slash/Pierce
SF: UMD/Khopesh/Whatever.

For stats, you could go with 15/15/16/10/8/12, having enough Int to max out all essential bard skills and dump some spare points into OL. You'll lose one tier of +1/+1 for the Inspire, but that's essentially all you lose for such a kind of melee based build. The capstone and additional SP don't matter too much, imho.
