Hi Team,
I haven't played this game for ... years I think. I'm so bored with WoW, Rift and Aion that I'm returning to some roots. Before some of these mergers started, my clerics name was Helen The Healer, now its Faithhful. I'm really hoping there are some old friends still around... and perhaps some new ones who might be interested?
My main is currently a lvl 17 cleric. After reading some of the updated boards, the spec i started with seems pretty silly:P So I'll be rerollin as something, might try this favored soul deal. Looks like fun!
Anyways, Oct, Molotov, my boys and girls from Lone Wolves, anyone out there, it sucks not havin a crew to hang with.
Are there any active guilds recruiting? I'd typically be a later in the night player 8pm cst and above. Kids come first, work comes second, adventure comes third, wife is somewhere below that... possible toss-up between the Chicago Bears and her... ssshhh.
Anyways, say hi if we are cool, I'm currently in the guild The Untouchables, doesn't look like many are active right now.
Thanks
Helen (aka Jeff, male, 32 yrs old, 6 years active duty Marine Corps, 4 years active duty Western IL University, 3 1/2 years in the trenches of Target, leading teams and driving results, seven glorious years of being a father!)

Welcome back.
Might I suggest that instead of re rolling, that you TR ( true res). Perhaps you already know about this but it will allow you to keep any bound gear, but not tomes. As well as you will get a couple extra build points, it looks like perhaps you left b4 32 pt builds, so if you TR your build will be 34 pts.
Roving Guns has some military peoples, but I don't know if they are recruiting.

Hwy bro, like Hex said TR. All gear goes in TRcache so no loss of life ( there are some reported bugs with stuff not turning up, 20 + TR's here and no personal loss so im confident in success) Anyways back to point, I hope you find your "pack" of friends so your experience is as enjoyable as you remember it. If not, there are plenty of us around that can show you an enjoyable time. Anyways bro, keep it real. Later.

TR, I remember hearing about that last time I stopped by. How do I go about doing it? I remember earning the 32 point build so will that mean i'll be a 36 point build instead of the 34 you mentioned? (looks hopeful)
Thanks
Jeff

First life will be either a 28 point or 32 point build. If you are drow it will be 28 no matter what. If you are any other race you will be 28 unless you purchase the Veterans Status pack or earn it via favor. If you have Veterans Status then you create new charecters with 32 point builds. Your first TR will make you a 34 point build (32 point for drow) and your second TR and all TR's after second will be 36 point builds (34 point build for drow).

To do it you must cap your toon, then you run epic raids/quests to gather 20(?) epic tokens. You can then buy a "true druidic heart of wood" in-game. Or do what many people do and look for a DDO Store sale and buy it there. The second option may be less of a headache, right now epics are rough for under-geared players (some are easier than others).

Oops, forgot that part of my answer. Thanks :-)

There are also options to fix your charaters with out TRing them. Granted since your healer is almost 20, you might feel you can wait. But there is Lesser and Greater Rez which will let you fix stats and feats. Also if your charater is a 28 point build you can use the Greater Rez to make it a 32.

Greater rez seems like that might be helpful to at least make my experience a bit more fun till i cap out my character for a TR.
Who do I speak with to do the Greater rez? I hate asking so many questions, is there a good website I should be going to?

ddowiki and http://www.ddmsrealm.com/ddo/ are sites that will help you.
Also in house jorasco there is a reincarnation trainer, somewhere south west, look on your map is sign is the same as class trainers.
However best place to ask questions is on the forums imo, welcome back.

ddowiki has I think the most useful information. The page on reincarnation is here (http://ddowiki.com/page/Reincarnation). It would probably be easiest for you to buy it from the ddo store, but you can always save up your points as well. Have you come back as free to play or are you paying a monthly subscription? Honestly it will not take you long as a cleric to go from lvl 17 to 20, I would strongly recommend you just wait until you hit 20, then true reincarnate.

Then do it again, and again, and again, and again, and again...
(Oh and log on and lets get exp! :p)

Why TR won't be so bad for you. .
There is at least 2 times, if not 3 times as much lower level and mid level content since the last time you played. . .And some of these have really awesome stories.
As a cleric, you don't have to be that well geared for Epics if you only want to heal--just try to have +6 con and greater false life. . .Yes it might bore you to just heal, but you could get your 20 tokens in less than a week.

Really appreciate the information guys. It's refreshing to experience a good community again. I recently gave Aion another go, and just asking a question gets you flamed by every person on the server:P So I appreciate it!
I am paying to play, love to experience the full content of games.
Healing boring?! No way! Love to heal. Well in truth, i tend to enjoy rez'ing people:P J/k
Anyways, i'm pressing on to lvl 20, hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of you along the way! Thanks again

Wow, sarlona community getting positive rep? I have officially seen it all and can die happy now.
J/p
Anyways, it is always good to see someone actually having the courage to ask the questions needed to not only make the experience better for them, but for the people around. Never be afraid to throw out a few questions, there is always someone ready/willing/and able to give informative help on the subject. Best thing about sarlona is we are all so competative that we will all jump in and try to give the better advice giving you the variation to choose from. As always bro, enjoy the game and have fun doing it.

lol! you'd fit right in with The Courageous Souls. We're a laid-back group of people who like to bs and have fun with each other. If you have questions about the game, want to learn any content, or just have people to run with we're all pretty receptive and helpful.
Send a tell to Gaii or Explosionbot if you see me on and want to try it out; it's not a lifetime sentence or anything. We're 55 atm and trying to grow but want people looking to have a good time, not just filler. Either way I'm working up a tr and in the next couple weeks you may see a few at lvl elite raids you can always hop in on.

Welcome back Dude!
Good to see that some of our "Newbs" are old Aerenalites. (Yes Helen I remember you from waaay back in the day with Karnak (Oct); Molotov and others.)
If you remember Aerenal The server that has provided superior and everlasting domination after the merges..... you'll prolly do so as Dexxaan / Elrikk. (*Bruttus is only like 3.5 - 4yrs old.)
Octaviann was very recently running around on a Necro-Wizard named......... Xonn.
Look me up and maybe I can assist a bit. (Although DDOWiki is the absolute best source of all the sequential changes made to the game)
Happy Hunting!

Hey there, welcome back. I remember you from way back in the Aerenal days as well. I think you'll like the game much better now than in the old days. Good luck getting your characters squared away!
