Also, is there a way to make tumble a class skill through feats? I want my Arti to be able to flip around like an arcane ninja.

You need to be close, but you wanted to be close already for point blank shot damage.

EDIT: Tumble is one of the FEW skills with no ceiling - the higher you go the further you roll with same time animation... Full ranks and buffs you can reach really high numbers and move as fast as a monk on haste.
