Seriously. Tried a Reaver at level the other day and could not even get a charge because we were getting thrown all over the place. Reaver either needs to be scaled to a lvl 20 dungeon and drop lvl 20 loot or it needs to be completable, and I am talking by a first life good player, not a twinked toon, at level.

This was ridiculous.

Raids are meant to be all end-game challenging adventures. It's an ingame tip and says it in the manual.

And yea, they are scaling up the loot. It's coming in update 12. Saw some pretty awesome stuff even for lvl20s.

That's BS or they would all be level 20 or epic raids. No point in making a "low level" raid if not completable. You are telling me that Chrono, Titan, Reaver, and Tempest Spine should only be completable by lvl 20's. Did you take a second and look at that statement before you wrote it???

I would be completely fine with this if the posted level of the raid matched the difficulty. If it's meant to be completed by level 20 toons, then it should be a level 20 quest, marked as such and any random loot should be from the level 20 loot table.

I think ideally normal should be completable by at level first life toons. Hard should be completable by very twinked at level toons or reasonably geared capped toons and elite should be for well geared capped toons at minimum. Good playskill could help drop these sort of barriers as well. But the stipulation is that the posted quest level should match the difficulty. Reaver could be listed at 14/17/20 for instance instead of 14/15/16.

Had no trouble doing elite Reaver, at level (13-16), with 3 first timers this life. 3 deaths.

We also managed Elite at level, also with some players that had never been there before. Took a few attempts before we got the strategy right... but we won.

I like the idea of a quest having the different settings for different level ranges. That way you don't have 'noob' and 'elite' content, each quest has a new/intermediate/hard/epic settings based on character levels 4/8/12/16/20+ or whatever. Have appropriate loot/chances of loot and crafting materials drop according to difficulty setting.

I just fixed DDO, pretty simple huh?

They fixed the air elementals. You are playing this raid in the way it was originally intended. In fact, it was much harder when it was released :)
