well, I cant seem to get a favored soul past level 4.
The reason is i keep getting bored with it and every time i try and use a sword and do a elite quest that is level 4
i die.
What is a good fvs build that allows for solability
last time i tried(human)
16 str
8 dex
14 con
16 wis
14 cha
_____
so would a good build be?
14 str
10 dex
15 con
16 wis
10 cha?
Im still wondering

take a look at sigogs soul survivor build
hob
Cant find anyone named sigog
Also i found one named sirgogs yet those are cleric builds
so, anyone got a good favored soul build that does not get boring playing it up to level 20
All i do know is I've played a cleric up to level 12 and during the time i reached 12 i realized that the spell points were a little low it seemed since whenever i logged to my caster it had at least 400 spell points greater....

You could buy mana pots at the DDO store. For low lvl it is about 6-9 cents per pot, and walk happily around sporting that blue mustache.

Nah i do not like using mana potions much even, although i know it does help on clerics and stuff, im not one who likes using it over and over if i did that lets just say i started with a 100 regular spell potion ended with 80 after the quest was over, rather on a favored soul i start with 100 and end with 90 which seems a big difference for me and also clerics can get tons of hp but not as much as a favored soul can easily obtain...

Do you have money to spend?
If Fav Soul bores you. Add a splash of fighter or monk. 2-3 max. Follow the builds on the forums. You can Lesser reincarnate later for pure if u want. You will probably level up quicker with pug groups with a splash of melee. Applies to Clerics too.
Elves get scimitar prof. Nice criticals with it. You can go TWF with it. I think offensive caster is the way to go with Favs with the prestige enhancements now. Pure like this.

I'm having lots of fun with Impaqt's "Superior Soul" (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=243539) at the moment. Probably the most fun I have in DDO since my very first character. But be sure to read this post, too: http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=3900145&postcount=286.

Melee Favs r still viable, but post April 2011 offensive caster Favs really rock with the prestige enhancements that just came out. Divine punishment criticals of 900-1000 points are fun to watch. I want one too, but I have to build there first.

20 pots???
1 maybe 2 in a quest. 3-5 in a raid. Maybe a few more if you solo heal a raid with single healing spells. It sucks spending 20 cents during an half hour to an hour long quest after forming a party and everything, but I manage to easily rationalize it ;) 30-50 cents on a raid every 2-3 days taking hour to an hour and a half to two hours to form up and complete. I don't see much of a problem if quest completion is more attainable and maybe faster. So I can get back to some real life once in a while ;) without feeling like I just wasted my life on here less often than more.

Okey, its just that simple - FVS and casters are cjust the other way than melees.
Melee are great to lvling up, but they are mostly average in end game.
Casters (divines + arcanes) to 10 lvl os so do as a nanny-buff-bots in their first life. Okey, arcanes kill too, but are less powerfull than fvs.
But how many players co0mplain - casters are kings of 16+.
Leveling them up is a pain, but later on u get your reward.
BB + implosion and u run not looking back.
Still, u should enjoy healing, because if ure not soloing or joining all-casters party, u will be mainly just healer in epic content.
If u want just to level up and TR your build is not bad.
But for longer end game playing id go:
str 10/12 (12 help in 1-4 conetent, later on u still wont hit well).
dex 8
con 14
int 8/10 (and here depends if u prefer to have maxed out balance, jump and conentration or to be bale to hit in 1-4... id go with int than str)
wis 18
cha 14
If u want melee FVS look at WF fvs builds. Survival Soul or something like that.
Each build have their advantages.
As a caster ull be able to solo a lot and instant kill things easily. BUT in big groups u will probably have to heal them, and u wont have enough mana to fight.
As a melee, u wont be so powered and u will be doing less dps than a fighter or barb, but u wont lack sp.
Splashing 2 levels isnt worth evasion. Ull loose 2 9 lovl spells slots. Without mass heal u will have problems sometimes. And then implosion and energy drain? Not worth losing it.
