you buy mana pots at the DDO store.
This really makes it easy. You can solo heal most raids as long as they stay together.
Just don't tell any other tunes how many mana pots you have or they will pike, sit back and conserve too much mana making you use more pots than necessary. They are expensive in game at auction.
Everyone is sitting on here with the perfect builds ( which they are), but if you have money this trumps problems with most cleric builds that others don't like.
I have been busting my butt healing in game and micromanaging mana and running back to shrines wasting my time (and everyone elses btw).
Enough!
Pots go for as little as 6-12 cents a piece on sale. GMAFB they are 10,000 plat at AH and not as concentrated. Just do it. Buy them and support turbine in the process.
Flame on!

Well... not the best way to learn good skills, but not entirely false either.
However, you do need one thing besides Pots. You need to survive. So you still can't dump con, and you still need that Fort/Con/False life gear.
While in theory you can use res cakes, they don't work in all content, including the most dangerous stuff.

This is true. If you have poor HP and poor saving throws, you can die after a single hit in some content, especially if you have no fortification. SP potions wouldn't help much in that situation!

Ok.
Writing on this forum is like grinding content 20-30 times to get an item with an extra 30 spell points or 30 hit points for that perfect build. The way it is taken to the extreme. Seems a waste of time, and is it really fun?
All that repetition. I do it, but it gets old quick after 4-5 times in a short period of time. But when I hear grinding something 50 times I think of the gamblers losing their nest eggs or crack addicts. Just seems like less fun for me, and I look for easier ways to have fun. I go back to stuff after a few months. It comes back fresh.
No doubt gear is important especially heavy fortification and even moderate fortification. If only I knew at lower lvls.
Pug builds can suck. No doubt about that. The word "Build" involves planning to build. And pugs that don't read the forums after around lvl 8-10 will have trouble progressing.
I just wish I started buying mana pots a lot sooner in my divine career. Would have saved me a lot of time and nonsense.

Certainly that grind is terrible and might not be worth it in some cases. However, you can indeed mitigate much potential grief in quests by investing build points and feats in the right places at character creation and as you level up. You can also find easy-to-get items with useful effects like heavy fortification, magi, or greater false life that would greatly increase your survivability and SP pool.
