i was just wondering if it went like this for everyone who talks to a GM. this is the conversation i had when him/her. now either someone wasnt reading everything i was saying. or was trying to be funny. either way. I dont like the fact that i have to pay to change my toon. when the changes were after I had already TR'ed him. ive already paid to TR. now i have to pay to lessor reincarnate. If i do it at all.
You tell <Player:IIDString:0x0000000000000000:>GM<\Player>, 'since i TR'ed before the changes to paladin. there was no free skill/feat swap when that happend?'
(Tell): You tell <Player:IIDString:0x0000000000000000:gm<\Player>, 'the changes where intimidate is now a class skill.'
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9:gm<\Player> tells you, 'That was a long time ago, but no, there was no free reincarnation or feat swap given.'
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9:gm<\Player> tells you, 'If you want to redo your skills, you'll have to use a Lesser Reincarnation.'
(Tell): You tell <Player:IIDString:0x0000000000000000:gm<\Player>, 'ok then ill note my disaproval at having to pay to fix a toon after its been changed by turbine. other than that that is all :)'
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9:gm<\Player> tells you, 'Your dislike of the paladin class being buffed is noted.'
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9:gm<\Player> tells you, 'I'll make sure to let the devs know to stop giving it more class skills.
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9:gm<\Player> tells you, 'Have a good afternoon!'
(Tell): You tell <Player:IIDString:0x0000000000000000:gm<\Player>, 'not at being buffed. at me having to pay to use the changes'
(Admin): <Player:IIDString:0x020B0000003FA3D9gm<\Player> tells you, 'This request is closed and your Game Master is unable to receive any further messages from you through this request. Please submit a new help request for any additional questions. Thank you for contacting In-Game Support and may the Silver Flame guide you.'

First, no GM names in the forums. Second, the only change is that you can take full ranks of intimidate instead of half ranks on a Paladin. I dont think that is enough of a change to give every Pali a free respec. Especially since not every Pali even wants intim.

maybe not but sorc/bard/fvs get free spell swaps whenever there is a new spell. but to get full intim. instead of half. i have to Lessor rein. but even with the new spells not all sorc/bard/fvs. will use those spells. so whats the difference?

Cheap and easy go get 20 Epic tokens and TR thus no payment required.

While the changes to Pallys where some time ago, and you are beating a dead horse; the responses you got from the GM are just wrong (assuming you did not edit them, next time take a screen shot) and Turbine wonders why most of us hate dealing with the GMs.
A simple "Sorry sir there is nothing I can do" would have been much better than the sarcasm dripping from those responses.

I Tr'ed shortly after TR came out i stopped playing my paladin for a while. and took a 5 mounth break from the game. and i do have a screenshot and was going to post it but it has the GM's name on it. therefor i decided not to post it.
Yeah, smart alec responses by GMs or devs when customers are upset is never good customer service. It may make them feel good, but it certainly is not helping the company.

A screenshot won't be necessary for most players that have dealt with GMs or Customer Service. We believe you. It's the people in the company that either won't believe you or continue to turn a blind eye to such actions from their employees. This is one of the reason I do agree that a short survey should be given to players after contacting GMs and Customer Service so players can express their satisfaction (or more often lack) of service received.

just understand that gm's are worthless as anything more than chat police and you'll get on fine.
time after time it's been shown that the gm's usually have very little understanding of the game or it's mechanics. if you do happen to luck out and find one that can actually do something useful you might as well go buy a lottery ticket.
As for their attitude towards customers, this is a common theme. They seem to have it backwards, thinking that they are somehow doing us a huge favor by providing this bugged out game that we pay for.
It's my belief that this attitude coupled with poor customer management is the reason that a game that has so much potential is nothing more than a niche title and probably never will be more.
I think turbine forgets that a mmo is driven by it's community.

Whenever there's a new spell? I can only think of one time they got free swaps and that was when the spell pass happened which significantly changed most spells.
If they ever do a skill pass that changes the way most of the skills work then maybe free lesser for everyone will be warranted.
While the gm probably should have been a bit nicer about it I imagine he felt you were wasting his time complaining about something that happened a YEAR ago. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?&postid=3348494#post3348494

I do not disagree with you on this one.
But I can't help but laugh at the response also.

I guess I'm in the minority.
I thought that was hilarious, and displayed a GM actually being a human being. Funny enough, this seems like a GM that actually plays the game, as opposed to those that seem to not even understand some of the simplest mechanics thereof.
He's right on the money - we have a player complaining in October of 2011 about an improvement on a F2P class that occurred not last week, not last month, but a mere two days shy of A YEAR AGO (http://ddowiki.com/page/Update_7_Release_Notes).
Many forumites were begging and pleading for longer than I've even been playing the game for Paladins to get Intimidate as a class skill. Finally, the Devs caved, and said "Okay, wish granted. Go forth and tank!"
And you're complaining we were given that option to some guy who gets paid less than you to sit and listen to you complaining about a Lesser Heart.
You as a player have multiple avenues here:
TR Again - 20 Epic Tokens and blazing through the levels with the new "Elite Streak" thingie.
LR to incorporate Intimidate as a full-rank class skill. This can be done via:
Winning a heart via the lottery, something Turbine does just becasue.
Looting one in a chest, something that people have seen out of CR 3 Dungeons.
Buying one from one of those lucky Son of a Drows. Market price on Sarlona is *maybe* a Million Plat right now - you could probably trade away two Red Scales and get one, or three LDS, or whatever.
Deal with the toon as is.
I have a Paladin. I was affected by this change. I bought an LR heart, and was pleased that the Devs implemented something that fit DDO, even if it didn't fit with canon P&P D&D.

The GM response is precious. You should store it in a vault for safekeeping. Maybe PM stainer for some suggestions on how to do this.
The customer is not always right...in fact, the customer is usually stupid.
That said, I also find the GM response funny.
