Artificer feeling left out.

Dear Dev's,

My artificer is starting to develop a bit of an inferiority complex. Where as his DPS out put is decent, and he has some decent weaponry for his level. His weapons don't look anywhere near as cool as the other people he is running around with. His Pure good Crossbow doesn't have the cool White flamey things, his Acid crossbow is green, his Shocking Crossbow isn't sparking. This the exception of His Hellfire crossbow, which does have some flames on it. All his weapons basically look the same.

Please Dev's add the cool glowing effects to my weapons. I want to look just as cool as that barbarian wielding that big flaming axe or the rogue with his pure good glowing rapiers....

I'm feel left out.

In all seriousness. why don't the repeating crossbows get the cool item effect overlays. it makes it difficult at times to tell which Item I have equipped especially when I've been doing a lot of weapons swaps in a dungeon.

I would much rather have a weapon that lives up to the adjectives in its title.
Cosmetics are superfluous IMO.
As long as my + ghost touch repeating heavy xbow of pure good kills all things undead I'm happy, it could look like a pinwheel and I'd still use it as long as it does the job.

That would be too showy...and yes, I would totally wear them. They would go perfectly with my pimp hat.

No flaming/drippy/spark-ely/whateverly...<****> on crossbows nor handwraps

Maybe a paint job on the bow or something, or making the bow itself look neater: like a dragon head on the end for a flaming crossbow, or a lightening-shaped end for a shocking, or a Cross for a pure good*....something cool. Not some silly "I can't see my **** weapon flaming thingy".

Why spend all this time on weapon designs and hilt designs, and blade designs and whatnot then cover it all up with silly flame effects? just use a stupid ---|====> or something then cover it in fire.

*maybe not a cross, but whatever non-denominational religious symbol that eberron has that could be used to put on the end of the crossbow.

Handwraps have always been less cool they they should be because of the lack of particle effects. Ditto bow/crossbows.

Eye candy is good for the soul of a happy gamer. :)

My fire savant sorc has hands that are enveloped with flame, why cant they do that with the hand wraps?

As a paladin hunter of the dead with a big glowing bastard sword, and a tiny undead, wraithform'd wizard with flaming red eyes, I just want to point out that the three classes most not benefiting from cool weapon effects are the monk, ranger, and artificer. The three classes the dev's seem to spend the most time on, and probably the coolest, most pimped out classes in the game. So not having cool graphics on you're overpowered toons should be barely an issue.

Meh..... go back to working on the fighter and the rogue and give them updated and better abilities. (Part of the allure of fighters is that they can where any armor, why can't they have a high enough AC in epic content?)
