Thelanis Drama thread

As a happy player on Thelanis, I'm a bit put out by the excellent drama on other servers.

To remedy this, I thought I would post my own experiences and opinions:

I ran a shroud 2 days ago. It was nearly perfect, and everyone did their job well. I pulled 2 LDS. Someone may have been miffed at my luck, but nobody said anything.

Opinion:

I prefer peameal bacon.

And I definitely prefer chocolate ice cream to fruity frozen yogurt.

I have to vehemently disagree with your post on almost all points.

1) I think that most people were happy for your 2 LDS pull.
2) I prefer bacon wrapped around other types of meat - and covered in cheese.
3) Frozen custard for the win.

I was on that shroud run and I was ticked because you took what was obviously my LDS. Plus it is an unwritten unfollowed rule that clearly states if you pull 2 LDS that you should give the extra one to the raid leader, which was me. You... you... you... rat poupy!

And the way you said practically nothing about your double scale runs was percieved as vicious gloating and irritated all who were in the run. I know of two who have had to seek counseling because of your overt and harsh actions.


Unless of course that was a different shroud run that I was on... If that is the case then just disregard what I said.

I ran an eDA the other day, it started off rocky as our arcane was not prepared and we had no disco ball at first wave. 2 people died and I used half of my SP just on it. I called it a wipe early and was ready to cut my losses when some upbeat fellow gave an inspirational speech. They even gave me 1 more major pot then I used and even complimented me on my healing at the end.

My gripe? I think I deserved more major pots and some plat / LDS's.

Had a bit Thelanis drama in a TOD yesterday. Was a very smooth run with Sulu on normal and everything was fine until we got to the loot. Someone got a Lorinthor's and I got a Kormor's and we had neither a paladin in the group nor a wizard. I checked the ring, decided that it will do nothing for my cleric and put it up for roll. (Was thinking to myself: What a crappy ring, the pre isn’t released yet, those shouldn’t drop at all). A monk made the first roll and a bit later an other player rolled to, but lost. I anoused the Monk as the winner of that crappy ring, passed it and we moved on to the Lorinthor's ring. The raid was full of melees and a lot of players rolled on it. It wasn’t the monk that won the roll and the ring was passed to. And then suddenly there was complaining about greedy rolles, blaming this and that and people started to roll on the Kormors again. I just didn’t get it and the Monk put the ring back for roll because he didn’t wanted to be blamed for looting that crappy ring. Drama about a Kormor’s without a wizzy evolved… geez people, please don’t you do that to me ever again or I will loot everything and vendor it later. ;) And there was plenty of time to roll on the ring in the first place... on your fighters and sorcs and what else suddenly needed the ring.
