On some off chance when you exact the brawling area you cannot release.

Long term bug, when you die outside of brawl, you cannot release unless you log back in, same with DoTs of casters not only DP

That's a general bug when you die sometimes in pvp. Log out and back in fixes it every time.

also happens if you die with the badge in tod, and res out before the badge expires.

In pvp, you can't release if you got raised in there previously
As far as I know, that's the only way your release button glitches
