Epic Sword of Shadow Questions

Made the sword epic on thursday after a Wiz I know passed it to me in the chest. I already long had the other three parts. Anyway I am a pure kensai fighter with all t hree levels of weapon enhancement, so I get the plus one bonus to critical range making it 14-20, so it criticals a bunch. my base strength is 36. 40 with ship buff and tod ring. Damage is high, about 100-120 on held mobs with held crits in the 400-450 range. I added the devils ruin crystal and I have a few of these so I don't think I will ever be with out one. I also have the new epic antique great axe, min2 and a +5 hb silver of geob. I was wondering if there is ever gonna be a time when either of these other weapons should be used instead of ESOS? I know what everyone's math says about the +5 hb silver of GE/GLob being better but the truth is simply this: When my enhancements favored great axes versus now when they favor great swords the ga simply didn't output damage and kill as fast as an ESOS. That is only using the eyeball test and looking at the damage myself objectively. So that being said, since my weapon enhancements favor the great sword I think i would be loosing a fair bit of my damage when I switched to one of the other weapons but just wondering if anyones dr would be worth that sacrifice?

Math does not state that THF hbglobs beat the eSoS when it bypasses DR. TWF hbglobs do, but that isn't relevant to your decision-making.

The only times I can think of not to use your eSoS would be against the Abbot (triple positive blunt), portals (portal beaters), and epic Lailat (unless you have Demon's Ruin crystals too).

Thanks for your opinion. I have a trip pos green steel maul for abbot and wiz king. What would you use for the others?

Against Lailat go with your eAGA. If you don't have any other weapons, I guess go with the eSoS against portals, but picking up a Vicious/Holy of Greater Construct Bane or something would be better.

I think most people wish they had those choices to make. Congrats.

thanks to artificers, you can ask them for a dr for your esos now. i drooled using my esos with silver against harry and horo. it was nice to not see yellow numbers and have 0 worries of losing aggro because now you can break dr.
