Im thinking about getting a cheap gaming laptop for work
I have a laptop in mind, its specs are
i5 2430M
4 gig ram
GT 555M 2gig GPU
I have a link to the website but wasnt sure if Im allowed to post such links into the forum
The spec isnt that great but as long as I can play DDO on it at medium/high settings i'll be happy
Any advice appreciated

Sounds like it'll work. Just make sure it's not Vista b/c that OS is a resource hog.

Thank you for the reply.
My next question is about the net connction I'll be using.
I plan to use a mobile phone to connect to the net - would this be suitable/ capable?
cheers

Depends on your carrier, phone capabilities and available signal. In general, I would say "No", but if you're in a large city with a 4G/LTE capable phone and a strong signal all the time, you might be able to pull it off. In that situation, though, you'd probably be better off finding an open WiFi connection to use.

Phone tethering works well for those who need back-up internet, but the amount of data that has to pass through your phone for gaming....I'd recommend against it. I'm not saying don't try it, though. :P

The words, Cheap+ Gaming + Laptop, don't fit into a sentence.

Don't know about going through phone, but I've successfully played the game through a 3g/HSPA modem.
