Hey guys,
I got a toon that is lvl 35-30 in all crafting schools.
I just run an artificer and I would Ilike to know if it's worth it for me to start my crafting fresh whit him or should I continu whit my othwer toon at lvl235-40 depend on school.
thanks
F
Getting to level 35 is easy just from deconstructing items. Then again, if you don't plan to take the three human dragonmarks on the artificer, 10 crafting levels isn't that much either.
Keep in mind that each bonus level from artificer will raise the cost of leveling your crafting, so you may want to keep the artificer low-level until you get his crafting way up there.
If you don't plan to turn the artificer into a craftbot, I'd stick with your current crafter.

They are no better at crafting than non:Artificers-with exception that they reach level 150 quicker (or with less effort).
I would say the last levels of crafting are much more difficult to reach than 1-30.
IMO-id just use an Arti.

This is only true if you keep the artificer at level 1 until you hit crafting 130 (and then level him to 20 and take the dragonmarks). Otherwise, your "free" levels are going to be squandered on the lower crafting levels, which doesn't buy you much.

Otherwise, your "free" levels are going to be squandered on the lower crafting levels, which doesn't buy you much.As it was explained to me, this isn't true. Artificer bonus levels (and I would hope and assume the bonus levels from dragonmarks) work by reducing your xp requirement, not by giving you xp.
When you have 10 bonus levels, your xp required to get to level 52 (to pick a random number) is the same as a regular crafter getting to level 42. So it doesn't matter what crafting levels you have when you take your bonus level; that bonus level will give you same bonus regardless.
Let's say you're level 35 and you need 50 xp to get to level 36 and then another 300 to get to 37. Now you take a bonus level, so you're 36. You still need 50 to get to the next level, which is now 37, and then another 300 to get to the next level, which is now 38. Nothing changed xp-wise; you just get your free bonus levels tacked onto the end.
You may still want to try and time your bonus levels to take advantage of good leveling shards, though. But regardless of when you take your 20 bonus levels, you will only need enough xp to get to 130 when all is said and done.
It takes less XP, sure, but not the same total XP. XP at level 30 is worth a heck of a lot less than XP at level 140.
The bonus levels increase your actual crafting level, pushing you into more expensive shards. There's an enormous difference in time and cost - millions of plat - from skipping shards in the 140-150 range than skipping shards in the 30-40 range.
