CC lvl 7???

I finally got some time to play and I am loving the new Artificer class, granted my favorite PnP class from 3.5. However, my highest toon is lvl 7 at present. Is it worth it trying to get the CC loot or should I just focus on leveling to 20 and hit it when it comes back in 3-6 months? I mean is it viable to try to get gear solo at 7 or are there a lot of people running at that lvl?

BTW found MRCows Diary of Artificer TR and using it as a guideline to quick leveling... so clipping through quite fast now.

I think it's definitely worth it, especially since he's got no higher-level alts to farm for him. I've got a level 6 Cleric I've made 3 trinkets for, as many Wizardry and Magi hats as I could get the doubloons for, a Moderate Fort hat, and a Heavy Fort hat (heavy fort at level 9 isn't too shabby, on a slot I eventually plan to grind a Minos Legens for anyway). I've also made as much level 8/level 12 gear as I could. I've found it really hard to find groups at his level, so I've just soloed with him and have had no problems getting 100-150 extra shards if I actually put a serious effort into it.

I'm running cove on my lvl 8 Rogue and having fun. It's doable at lower levels, though it's harder to achieve the full crystal optional bonus. At lower levels without haste, it seems harder. And for some reason, I notice there are less purples this time around.

Ok, going to ask a stupid question... HOW on earth are you able to get enough crystals to get decent stuff.. if i am reading right need 300 plus crystals for a item... and now only couple days left of Cove... so starting really late less i missed an extension.

well, doing it at level nets you 200 dragonshards, no?

You can find guides in the forum for optimal soloing strategies for both shards and gems, but if anything it seems even easier this time around to get good shard runs. I can usually get anywhere between 200-300 extra crystals (after the initial 100 needed to "complete") in two runs, and that's low compared to a lot of people.

My basic strategy is: Do an initial shard run for the first 20 minutes. Repair, then do a few quick gem runs, ignoring kobolds and just killing all the undead. Recall with maybe 2-4 minutes left on the timer then do another shard run. I personally do shard runs at-level when soloing. Others go for more of a challenge ;)
