Sylvia Robinson, the producer of the Sugar Hill Gang's pioneering hip-hop single "Rapper's Delight,"
died this morning at the age of 75 from congestive heart failure.
She was unoffially known as The "Mother of Hip Hop".

Sylvia Robinson was into music long before that, in fact she was actually
"The" Sylvia from the Hit Song from the 50's "Love is strange".
Which was featured in the Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey hit movie "Dirty Dancing".
she also had several other hits, among them another Hit called "pillow Talk.
She went on to Produce such other musical groups as Grandmaster flash and the Furious five.
with her reccord Label Sugar Hill records. She is hailed as one of the early pioneers of hip hop...
