G-land intolerance?!?!?

SO..... I was just running butchers path for dubs and map pieces. About every 4 minutes I find myself running back to the quest giver, taking and throwing away end reward, and retaking quest. I can get about 13 runs in the hour that the grog or whatever it is lasts.

Every time i actually look at general chat some... jerk(s), for lack of a more acceptable term, are giving a German speaking player grief about speaking German in general chat. "they have a German server for that" or take it to wayfinder, you're ruining my game."

When did the people of my beloved G-land become intolerant a$$e$.

PLAY THE GAME. If you don't like seeing German, Spanish, French or any other language on the general chat line, squelch 'em, or suck it up and learn to be a little more tolerant of others.

And yes I saw the rant about language while commuting between Cove and Guild Ship, Every server is entitled to have it's bunch of idiots, just shrug, /squelsh an move on. Let them rant on the subject, they cannot do anything about it, especially as G-Land is the server where Turbine dumped us European Refugee ( I'm a Frog and it doesn't bother me at all to see French, German, English, Spanish... in general chat. Especially as General Chat is disabled on most of my characters. )

Seriously man, next time something that happens just take a deep breath, relax and think things through before you create a thread like this, even if it was 5 idiots or even ten, your post seems like 95% of G-Land are intolerant or whatever! That said, if your point was to create some drama or generate some conflict and chaos, I applaud your effort, god knows how I try to spread out chaos and mischief in the server population but so far to no avail!

OK. First let me apologize to the VAST majority of the people on the G-land server. I did
indeed, mistakenly, make a broad generalization in my OP. I played a little on Cannith

about a year ago when i first started playing and switched over to G-land after about

a week. Not saying anything derogatory about Cannith i just didn't find very much

"rookie friendly help" there. G-land has been a fantastic place and the people have

been equally fantastic.

I was a bit troubled when i saw people griefing someone over what language they were

speaking. No, I wasn't trolling, I wasn't looking to start some G-land drama thread. Just

stating what I saw and my opinion of it. No i don't troll general chat looking for

something to complain about. I rarely look at General chat and even more rarely do I

find myself in the Harbor.

Sorry G-land. You're great people with a few possible exceptions. I still have pride in my server and I won't be making those kind of generalizations again.

Crest- I don't blame you for posting. It's hard to see intolerant hedge-pigs of any sort and not want to rant about it a little. For the most part, I ignore general chat except for answering questions in Advice. Otherwise, I'm afraid that I will get in trouble with the cube for verbally sparring with intolerant hedge-pigs. Because it's hard for any intelligent creature to ignore intolerance. Just keep this in mind when the intolerance gets you down... people with nothing better to do than give others grief over anything so trivial tend to be people with boring little lives and tiny little...wands. Yup, I think 'wands' is the way to go.
