Does anyone know if the effects applied to the shields will:
proc on shield bashing
act as a guard effect
transfer the effects to the main hand (i.e. seeker)?

I do know that seeker will transfer. other than that I can't say.

Pretty sure double strike also procs on main hand, not shield

The mystical effects have a guard at tier 1, the martial effects are attacks with that weapon so you'd need to shield bash.

Seeker, doublestrike, and stunning(?) are global effects for the character, not per-weapon so your main hand would get a boost with those.
