New Quest (Doppleganger)

I would like to see a quest called, "Doppleganger", which somewhere during the quest, or at the end you have to fight your current self, or anyone else in the parties character. That would be a cool quest.


Also wondering why they never added the 9 planes of Hell pack. 9 new quests going lower, and lower until reaching the 9th plane of hell, which is supposed to be the worst of all monsters. This was in the original paper pen module, was really interesting.

Maybe these quests can be added for the coming level 25 packs, making them the most difficult...

I'm not sure about Eberron but I do know Baldur's Gate had some Doppleganger's in it.

They would have to vastly improve the AI in order to make a doppleganger fight interesting. That or give them a ridiculous stat boost which would just turn it into an ordinary boss fight.

They probably didn't include a "9 Planes of Hell" pack because the "9 Planes of Hell" don't exist in the Eberron setting. It's just Shavarath.

Not if you made it like the Shroud, where it places everyone in a locked room with their opposite, and could only come out if they beat themselves

I agree with the premise that it wouldn't be very fun or challenging but it's not a coin flip at all. DDO's AI would stand zero chance....unless of course they just multiplied the party's hp by 1000....Can I loot my dead self?

We already have your 9 planes of hell pack, its just broken up:
Threnal E3 (normal at level)
Coal Chamber
Tomb of Tormented
Tomb of blighted
Tomb of the I'm really fracking tired of swimming everywhere
Tomb of the Shadow Respawns
Troglydyte Stench
Return to Threnal E3 for elite
Smugglers Warehouse
