We have a guildie who has a very good hate tank with evasion. I wanted to do something similar but with more an ac focus. The reason is that in the new raids you need in at least the 80's if not 90's and getting close to 100 raid buffed woud be very useful. Intimi is still needed but the old turtle tank just does not work on most raids so going with a twf version with intimi but intimi is only situationally useful. I wanted to take advantage of the chimera fang and chimera crown changes as well.

Tootanks- 34 build
goals -at least 80 self-buff ac, around 1000hps, good steady dps and hate to hold aggro

str 40 14 +3 tome +3 fighter +7item +1 exc+2 ship+6 stance+2 yugo+2 rage (situational madstone and titan gloves for more)
dex 38 16 +3 tome +5 levels+7 dex item +3 exc +2 ship+2 yugo
con 40 15 +3 tome +1 human +6 item +3 exc+2 ship +6 stance+2 yugo+2 rage
int 9 +4 tome (enough for umd and intimi and extra points into jump and balance (both can be over 40 with clickies or items)
wis 32 15 +3 tome +1 human +1 monk +3 exc-1 item +6 item+2 ship+2 yugo
cha 22 9 +3 tome +6 item +2 ship +2 yugo

20 Base
110 Toughness feats
16 Monk levels
180 fighter levels
70 Enhancements
300 Constitution modifier
30 Greater False Life
45 Greensteel
10 Draconic Vitality (GH Favor)
20 Toughness
20 Chimera's Helm Boost

totals 821 (will always use yugo pot) guild slot could get 20 more but not going to have that as did not really fit gear choices
985 without madstone- over 1000 with it

gear:
Armor: Icy raiments +4 dodge
Bracers: jidz armor 8, wis 1 -slot gfl con +1
Goggles: gs cha skills
Helm: chimera crown spell resist 30 +5 nat ac, +20hps, stacks, colorless -dex 1, yellow resist +4
Necklace: grimm's bracelet +7 str, +3 dodge- green slot -fort
Trinket: brawns spirit +20 intimi/incite 10%, exc con +2 (-1 wis and -1 int)-green slot wis 6
Cloak: cloak of night
Belt: ravager- con 6 seeker 2
Gloves: gs hps
Boots: madstone/tod/striding
Ring: ravager +6 str +1str +2 wis (set gives incite 15%)
Ring: epic buccanner +7 dex, +2 skills, protection +5- green slot -toughness
wep- 1 chimera fang-incite 20%, +4 insight ac, dr breaker...slot good
wep 2 alchemical with seeker or another cf (probably going with the alchemical as seeker will work for both weps and the dex +2 allows me to change the wis higher so another ac point

Hate will be less
75+10+20=105%

str will still be good enough to hit

ac will be higher:
10 base
14 DEX
11 WIS
4 Icy dodge bonus
1 Alchemal on Icy
3 dodge grimms
2 dodge cloak
5 combat expertise
8 armor
4 insight
5 protection
3 Stalwart enhancement
4 stalwart stance
1 feats
3 ship buffs
5 natural AC
4 shield (swap to umd gear to cast, then swap back to tank gear after cast)
1 haste
---
88 self buffed

2 recitation
5 pally aura
4 bard song
---
99 max raid buffed

edit I have the dex int and con tomes listed, need the others to max stats

Just an FYI rage and madstone do not stack with stance.

Are you sure about that? I know stance throws you out of rage (spell) and madstone won't proc while in stance,
but I'm pretty sure that you can proc madstone before entering stance and it will stay after you enter and stacks
normally. Would be interested on a confirmation on this.

Btw, drinking con yugo pots decreases your dps output (5% i believe) probbly not a big issue just something
to be aware of.

Nor would you want them to in most cases (rage is -2 AC).

yes you can proc the boots before stance and it will stay you just can't get the 2nd proc while in stance and I believe it stacks ill have to test this and as for yugo pots its %5 speed loss = movement/attack or at least that was what we came up with ;)

It works that way for CE, so I imagine it probably works that way with the defensive stance as well. In any case, it gives you such limited use of Madstone rage (1:25 minutes per rest, unless you want to fiddle with going in and out of stance in the middle of combat to get it to trigger) that it's not really a significant factor.

Have you check out The Emerald Build (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=340403)?

You never actually listed that you were an 18 Fighter/2 Monk. :)

sorry forgot to list that i was an 18/2 monk. Also you use the madstone before going in stance and it stacks. It is for the extra dps to build the initial hate. Yes, I have look at the emerald build and wanted more str and hps but it was one of the builds I looked into before making this build.

Here is the character planner. I did not finish the skills as I wil have enough points for maxing umd, jump balance and intimi (balance and jump are high enough to get to 40 with a clickie or item).
