Finally, the entire season wondering why River kills The Doctor... ends....

Let the game begin.

I'm going to skip my standard whine about how I hate the show since David Tennant and Russell T. Davies left, you can just fill all that in because any fan of the show has heard it before I'm sure. OMG, iDaleks, Amy Pond, etc, etc.

I was just pleased that they had DDO half elves as villians a couple of episodes ago (the smooth-faced, tiny-eyed dolls in the dollhouse episode). I almost posted screenshots but didn't think anyone would get the reference. I guess I underestimated our DDO geeks' geekdom range. :-)

... iDaleks

LOL, best description I've heard. When I watched them being "unveiled", the only thing going through my mind was "Go Go Power Rangers!".

Why can't they go back to the original Doctor Who, when it first was actually meant to be an educational show about someone going back in time and seeing things first hand in the past.

man I wish I could get caught up on the doctor. I am a little butt hurt that I paid for a season pass on Zune only to have them split the 6th season in to two parts after the mid season break and insist I re-buy the second half of the season. I am refusing to do so on principle.

That being said we all know I am going to do it, eventually........ f-n Micro$oft. :(

My moneys on the Doctor himself being in the spacesuit after the gun is fired and the dead doctor being fake possibly the flesh from the earlier episode.

I do agree it's gone downhill, Cant blaim matt he's doing his best with the script unfortunately most scripts seem to be using some sort of plot generator...
X Causes the Doctor to be Trapped, Doctor Runs around insanely, (pond/rory/other backup toon) screams, Doctor saves (pond/rory/back up toon), Doctor suffers regret for putting them in danger decides to take them somewhere nice, end

My prediction:

Build up of suspense with a few funny 1-liners. Get to the main point about halfway through the episode. 5-10 min before end of episode, you see the scene at Lake Silencio from the S06E01. Some psuedotechnobabble and paradoxes for a minute or two after that and The Doctor is fine, was never in any danger and we're all silly for even thinking about believing otherwise. Season ends with preview of Christmas Episode where Craig and Stormageddon end up fighting off some alien creatures while in line for the hottest new holiday season gift.

*spoilers, probably*

So many plot holes =/

The thing at the end was not the thing at the end i was expecting even though it would have been a very similar resolution.

At least we know theres another season.

Might be more explicit when there's been time for folks to have seen a mid-week repeat.

I liked it - the little tribute to a recently departed character/actor from the classic series' was a very nice touch too

Color me disappointed. Too many plot holes, unanswered questions and things that just don't make sense. Too many episodes this season had me going "Wow great episode!" and then 10 minutes later after the cotton candy sugar fluff high wears off saying "Hey wait a minute! What about ____ ?" I will continue to watch because quite frankly I can't not watch. I don't know if it's a Pavlovian response to the sound of the TARDIS and the opening theme, a learned behavior from growing up glued to my local PBS station with the VHS machine ready to capture every minute or some unknown genetic imperative but I will continue to watch. However I am starting to get a sinking feeling much like the one I had watching back in '88-'89.
