Good day dear developers,

I am not one that posts on a regular basis on the forums but I am a player who checks the site + forums from time to time for advice and such.

I have a question regarding the crystal cove event, please point it out if I posted this in the wrong thread or section on the forum. My apoligies beforehand if this isn't the right thread but it seems the most logical place for me.

I would like to know when the crystal cove event is ending. I already managed to arrange a settlement @ my job with the planner to take on an instant holiday when the event would be launched. Problem is my department is being quite busy atm so im hoping that the event lasts for 2 weeks orso so I get the oppertunity to set things straight here first before leaving my colleges without my help just like that.

Could you please respond as soon as possible with a concrete date? I would appreciate the effort.

Yours sincerely,

Bjorn van der Heijden

Cordovan,

Acording to the mailer that went out 9th September there should be a +20% Adventure XP bonus running now, yet the Chronicle doesn't mention this and the XP isn't currently active.
(Raised a GM ticket right now to point this out - 2380183)

If the GM cannot assist, please can this be switched on.

Many Thanks

GM response to ticket:

Thank you for your help request. We are aware of a service issue related to what you have reported, and are working to have the issue resolved as soon as possible. Official updates and additional information will be made available on DDO.com if necessary.

A forum announcement of it being 'live' would be beneficial once implemented if you would be so kind :)

Can't find the post by Cordovan now, but I remember him stating that the Crystal Cove event will not be extended beyond the planned date earlier, which is Oct 9. So for now, Oct 9th is the last day of CC.

Hope this helps and things work out for you between work and DDO!

Thanks for your response learst, guess il have to make the best of it with the time frame given to us.

I would like to suggest [not demand, as I am not one of those forum trolls that discredit any action that the developers undertake.] to better present this kind of information at the DDO client startup screen. Its IMHO the best communication device that the devs have towards their players, things such as pointing out the time frame of the event is imo more then relevant enough, not everyone reads the forums, and the best communication source after the forum are the raid groups that discuss things like this.

Communication is the key imo to keep your players happy. Thats why I suggest taking this in mind with the next event.

Also if I might complain a bit, I kinda expected that the previous end date of the event would be stretched due to the downtime after the update. Its not the players their fault that they wheren't able to play the event lately, a compensation in the form of stretching the end date is the least that you guys could give us.

Keep up the good work aside of that, still loving the event and the way how the quest works. Would like to see a ''regular'' quest like this in the game to add a bit of variation from the usueal ''straightforward kill what you see'' approach that most quests have.

Cheers,

Bjorn
