Hello all. New to the game, and newer to the forum, but a long time 3.x player. My friends have snagged me up into this MMO, and I'm hooked now.
My current goal is a wiz/fighter split, based on (But not religiously adhering to) the WF bladecaster on the wiki. However, one thing that I was wondering about was the wizard spells at level 11. Specifically, tenser's transformation, and increased mass buffs and self repairs. For playing a fighter, I'm not sure if I would be better off taking fighter 12-13 and wiz 8-7, or going fighter 9-wiz 11, and using tenser's transformation with other buffs (If applicable) for the brawls.
I'm aware that this character won't be as completely 'effective' as a lot of other builds, but it's true to what I like to play, a defensive fighter that uses magic to offset the other shortcomings in a fight.
Thanks in advance for your time!

don't use tensors unless you don't plan on casting until the spell wears off.

I recommend simply going Bard - splash some fighter and/or barbarian for weap prof.

I recognize that bard is better at it, and I also recognize that this isn't the best class in the world. But I'm trying to make it work for me. And I'm still deciding what levels to branch wiz/fighter at, as in how much tenser's helps a mixed wiz/fighter, versus the raw levels in fighter.

Tensor's only benefit is raising BAB to character level. Stat bonuses don't stack with items. And it locks casting for duration of the spell.
So you essentially block your own self healing for something Divine Power clickies does without preventing spell casting.

I personally think 12 wiz is better than the 12 fighter because your spells will really have great effect and you also get reconstruct which I think is crucial to a fighter/wizard.
I'd personally look at Impaqt's Melee Wizard.

and the Tukaw

They're both excellent builds but I warn you that they are EXTREMELY gear dependent because you need both fighter AND wizard gear.
ps. the most crucial gear to these builds are DP clickies! hoard them!
