Did I just screw up BADLY ?

I have a lvl 18 bard that is my crafter. I rarely run her in quest anymore so I can up with this silly Idea to lesser her into an Artificer, I have a few +5's sitting in my bank. So I put one on her and talk to the guy, then log out then in, I create a lvl 1 Arty then WHAMMO no arti in the list of specialist. I even check spell caster s and melee.

[Darn] I screwed up didnt I ?

I'm checking in the forums for a lil warning sign saying " STOP! Don't do that stupid"

Anyone have a hint , tip, or some comforting words for an idiot :)

You can't LR or GR into an Artificer.

im pretty sure i remember seeing somewhere that artys were NOT in the list for either LR's or vet status. soz but im thinking you ate it for nothing

I couldn't find anything stating that I cant LR into an Arti but leason learned.

Players can True Reincarnate into an Artificer if they have the Artificer class unlocked, but players cannot swap non-Artificer levels for Artificer levels using Lesser or Greater Reincarnations, and cannot take Artificer levels from the Veteran Status boat."

Just a clarification on that.

If you are an artificer, you can LR to redo your stats. My brother did it yesterday.

Correct, you just can't pick up any artificer levels you didn't already have before the LR/GR.

If you can wait till U12, you can then (most likely) reincarnate into an Artificer. Hopefully that won't crimp your plans too much.

this statement is wrong! I was able to swap out my 1st lvl into an Arti. It should be disabled so as not to allow anyone idiot ( ME ) to do sumtin like this again. As of right now Im 17bard/ 1 Arti :(

Don't forget how Turbine was nice enough to put these on sale before the patch went live. Adds all over the place... Oops! We forgot to list the limitations on our adds, better luck next time.. right? And people say there wasn't some shady stuff going on with this last patch..

So, in the event someone does this, could they just forgo actually clicking on the reincarnate button on character selection screen, and perhaps hold off until U12 drops?

I've never actually post-poned a reincarnation, I just get right to it; but now I'm wondering how long you can wait after using the heart, before you actually hit that button.
