This is not a good Artificer pet weapon. They are not good and can't equip it :[
Wish I took the +2 True Law Heavy Repeater of Greater Ooze Bane instead as a reward.

Do the puppies have the same alignment as the owner?

Interesting I was just wondering if they take the alignment of their master, what is your arties alignment? Is there any arties that would take anything but true neutral? If there is one out there can your puppy wield a pg weapon?

No. I am lawful good. And my umd 24 does not help either (says 20 req on module).

isn't the puppy true neutral fighter with no UMD?

So any module that spawns with pure good is unusable. That's a waste.

I'd keep it just in case they fix/change it. Or you can always send it to me if on Khyber, just in case :)

I had given a flaming module of pure good one to a guildy earlier and they were using it no problem. I'll double check tomorrow when they're on that it is the one they're actually using and not that they equipped a different one they had in their inventory.

Did you check min lvl?
There is no reason that your pet cannot equip that except min lvl.

It's min level 10, my pet and I are 13.

Is that 13 Levels of Art?, as your pet is only your Art Level not your Character lvl, so for instance if you are lvl13 but Art9/Ranger2/Rogue2 your Pet is Lvl9 not 13 so would not be able to wear it

pulled a flaming/pure good one as well that the pet cant equip. was also equally disappointed, as he's still using a korthos one at lvl 9. I have the handwraps to convert over, but am seriously lacking in mech parts.

I'm currently using an acid of pure good on mine and have had no problems. Its one I crafted in the device workshop from handwraps rather than a reward - not sure why that would make a difference though

How do you "convert" handwraps to pet modules?

You can put handwraps and mechanical trap parts in a trap making station to create the module. If you put the handwraps in it tells you how many trap parts you need.

Can pets use wraps with guild slots on them? I'd guess no...but has anybody tried?

Actually last night, for a change, there was a very good and lively discussion on general chat about the puppies. Their sentience, their independence and how they're usually treated in PnP. One of the few ocassions that I've actually been glad to have general chat window on. :)

I believe that, as constructs, the Iron Defender is True Neutral, so it shouldn't be able to equip items that are restricted to non-Neutral alignments. Some people have reported that Docents of Stability work on the Iron Defender which would seem to support the alignment assumption of True Neutral.
Oh, and shameless plug for my Iron Defender guide which can be found here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=4027485#post4027485).

I did a test.
In the image, the module on the left was handwraps converted to a module. My pet can equip it without any difficulty.
The module on the right is the one I looted that cannot be equipped. They have the same ml.
A bug? Looted pure good cannot be equipped, but converted wraps can.

Handwraps are not standard weapons (which instead confer a set of buff-like abilities to the user), which is why randomly generated ones have a history of oddities. One of those oddities is that True Alignment Damage effects (such as Pure Good and True Chaos) do not have a Use Magic Device requirement. Modules that are made from handwraps do a copy-carryover of the handwraps properties, including any such oddities as a lack of a UMD check on Pure Good.
Modules are a standard weapon. They will place UMD checks on modules with True Alignment Damage effects. The problem is your Iron Defender doesn't have Use Magic Devices as a skill and thus can't use it.

Well I don't care anymore.
I just converted a pair of Paralysing wraps into a module. :D
I predict the prices for para wraps to go through the roof.
