The new group bars are too narrow, too tall and have to contend with all the background for attention. They take up too much screen real estate. Twice the size and half the functionality. The names are so small to be almost unreadable. The numbers are just cluttered mess, but turning them off also turns off the numbers on the individual bar, which were helpful before. They can't be moved to the far right of the screen. The best thing about the old UI was our ability to overcome many of it's bad design elements with custom UI files, but the new UI screws those up too. I can't come up with a single positive.
