Hi Adventurers!

I would like to share my idea about a particular dark monk/pala version. I havent play with this build, but i have some fear the usefulness at endgame. Please share your opinions:

adv.:
- GS. longswords option as ki weapons (instead handwraps)
- also bows as ki weapons
- Dark monk Touch of Death
- Stunning Blow
- Fighter Haste Boost I
- Monk Improved Evasion
- Pala self healing/offensive dps enchantments
- high Pala saves

disadv.:
- need 32 pts.
- no stunning fist
- only two tier 1 prest.
- only two lvls spells
- low hp to tank

I dont know the AC of this class, but cant be bad

I believe you can't mix pal/monk due to alignment restrictions.......

You can. Paladin needs Lawful Good, and monk needs any Lawful alignment.

Thx the link, i have already checked it and this inspired me to share my idea which is different in many essential steps:
my build has -3 monk (i cant see the usefullnes +3 lvls monk) +4 pala (dps enchantments/raise dead ability, lvl 2 spells) -1fighter (same as monk lvls)

Pally Monks get impressive healing through healing amp and being light sided.

Dark monks already get short swords through ninja which is possibly better than the longswords - but you only use ToD from Monk 9 with fists not long or short swords. This means that the shortswords don't get used as much -especially after the banishing/smiting changes.

Also the last I checked the ToD save is based on monk level which for level 9 means that paladin critical smites will hit for more than the ToDs.

Stunning fist may work better for you than stunning blow and as mentioned I'm not sure the longswords would be worth it.

Bad idea, IMHO: handwraps are still higher DPS w/out wasting two feats; and ToD & Stunning Fist only work with wraps. Besides, you are (or ought to be) a ninja; use short swords if you're desperate for a non-wrap weapon. [Actually, I think it'd be fun to use Banishers etc.]

It gets you 3rd-tier stances, 2nd-tier PrE (Ninja II adds +2D6 SA & free Imp Crit w/short swords), and a bump in base unarmed dmg. Overall I'd say it's pretty sweet.

While slightly different in build structure, you may want to check out The Blasphemous Abomination (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=296731). Same basic premise, but with a bit more synergy.

You could grab the Paladin Dilettante if you want higher saves.

As has been said, ToD only works with fists.
