Elvyn Edge bugged?

So, supposedly the new changes to this weapon made single-cast songs become AOE when wielding the EE .... this did not work for me except for Inspire Heroics (I don't know about Song of Freedom, when the hell are 5 ppl going to need it at the same time?), but the mana-regen song did not work AoE ... is this WAI or a bug? I assume a bug .... I hope a bug ... and I imagine it will get fixed in a year or two ....

Epic Elyd Edge: The weapon now includes Screaming, as well as Cacophony, a sonic damage effect equal in proc rate and power to Incineration. This weapon now uses the higher of Strength or Charisma for to-hit and damage, and has a new effect called Inspiring Echoes in which a Bard wielder's Inspire Heroics, Inspire Competence and Song of Freedom become Area of Effect benefits while this weapon is held.

This update specifically only buffs Epic Elyd Edge for Inspire Competence, Inspire Heroics, and Song of Freedom, not any of the songs from the PREs, including the mana-regen song.

Inspire Competence and Song of Freedom are AOE with the new epic Elyd Edge (at least they were when I tested on Lammania, haven't been able to test on live yet), but those songs cannot affect you, only party members, so you are not included in the AOE. Try grabbing a couple friends or going to a public area with a few people standing around close together and examining them after singing Inspire Competence. If it is AOE, they should all have Inspire Competence listed in their buff box.
