Is the amount of weapon damage in the new quest intentional?

It seems a little extreme compared to every thing else in the game. My weapons are breaking like they are made of balsa wood.

I did Power Play and Blown to bits on normal and didn't notice anything.

Then I did Power Play on elite and halfway through the quest my Lit II Khopeshs were worn... Used another weapon and close to the end... worn...

Just did the first wilderness area and checked my Lit IIs... they have taken a lot of damage just in there (comparatively).

I am not sure, but I believe blunt weapons don't take as much damage.

Nevertheless, I would like to know if this is WAI, too.

I crafted a +4 Holy Adamantine Khopesh of Construct Bane and a +4 Holy Adamantine Morningstar of Construct Bane (need to find a second Khopesh) and they took absolutely no damage in six runs through the Wilderness Area and one run through Schemes of the Enemy without repairing them.

Looks like Adamantine weapons is the way to go.
