Hi. I'm a DDO VIP who owns a few packs as well and I have a request. Please either eliminate VIP or make the line between VIP and Premium less blurry so that maybe all the whining about who pays more or who deserves more will cease. The whole Artificer thing? I don't care. Over the past three months you have given me double the Turbine points promised to me and if I choose I may use those points to buy Artificer essentially making it free to me. In fact, after today's point deposit I could "buy" artificer with the EXTRA points and still have an extra 505 to spend on xp pots or enough guest passes to bring some Premium guildies through the new content. Thank you. Not many companies would cut their own throat like that. The fact that you have to also put up with people crying about what you've "taken" without consideration for what you've given (Including from some VERY prominent people in the DDO community) absolutely sickens me. So once again, please give us VIPs a couple months warning and pull the plug. Like Geddy Lee sings, "...and the trees were all kept equal by hatchet, axe and saw"

Dumbest thing I've ever read.
People who have paid $15 a month for years should now have to buy all the packs and classes?

You only get bonus 1000 TP total from the promotion. So if you spend it on Artificer, you'll only have access of 5 TP. Please check your point history.

And its attitudes like the OP which will make it far easier to leave for some of us then it was years ago.
I used to feel a connect to the whole gaming community now we have a separation of not only ideals but of pay scales, people bickering over who pays more who is more important something the company started when they decided to give us the title VIP.
But in the end nothing matters, as my sometimes nemesis on the boards smatt said it plainly "No one cares" and the few of us who do and try to be vocal are only called whiners or worst.
So thats it times are changing and its either change with them or dont but caring seems to get you more ire from this community then it used to and in the long run just isnt worth it. As long as every one else is happy for what they get for their dollars this game will stay solid thats all most of us can hope for.

Even so, the only people who knew about the scam were those who read the forums often.
There should have been a warning in game to inform VIPs that they are no longer getting free access to all classes. Then we would have saved those extra points.

I have to agree that what Turbine did is cheap... if I'd have known about the fact that the only way to get artificer was to have the points ready to spend, I'd've saved some points.
However, this is nothing new. Turbine has always made a habit of giving as little to those who play hard and pay for the game as possible.

3 months running, extra 500 points. (today being third month) So unless Im just extremely lucky (and turbine messed up), wait till your next point deposit comes in. And even if it only was 1000, its still extra above and beyond.

Rock, No of course not. But I didnt buy FvS. So what if all the favor isnt available yet. If it would have taken a total favor of, say, 3500 you'd have people complaining that thats too high and they've been playing since pre beta and they shouldnt have to grind that huigh again after tring the toon they earned FvS favor on. Tell me Im wrong.
And Kalari, so "Us against them" and people threatening to rage quit the game helps the community how? I'm simply advocating a solution to the pay scale bickering. If I didnt care, I wouldnt have posted anything. At least Im offering a solution that isnt "Change this or I quit"

You can't define game community by forum trolls.
It is possible to be vocal and ignore the naysayers/trolls.

It doesn't help the community, but you have to realize that it's a reaction to a poor decision by Turbine. Why you're trying to blame people who voice their complaints makes zero sense. Of course people won't "appreciate what's given" if they paid for that and more. You're talking as if VIPs get the benefits they do for free. As for your suggestion, look at it from another perspective. How happy would people be if Turbine suddenly decided to completely cancel the shop, and annul all the previous transactions?

So from my perspective, yeah it looks to be a lot of whining. So if Im wrong then everyone who is irate at my suggestion has my humble apologies, but before putting down MY attempt at a positive attitude and a zero xp no rep quest for a solution maybe people should look at the example they're setting.

Narp. July 11th - September 10th were the dates for the promotion. If you had received a third month of bonus TP, you had been given them in error (according to their promotion). It is your responsibility to report the error to Turbine or you may be considered to have stolen them (EULAs are not our friend).

However, this is nothing new. Turbine has always made a habit of giving as little to those who play hard and pay for the game as possible.
They found it ideal to give completionist free access to arti, regardless of VIP status...

Yes, and if people keep taking it quietly, the example set will be "Turbine can do whatever they want and get away with it".

No, you're right. A lot of it was whining. Just not all of it; there were some perfectly reasonable attempts at communication that just got locked out because they degraded into bickering and arguments.
Keep the positive attitude; the forums will be better for it. Just keep in mind that the negative attitudes go both ways. So does some of the whining.

Then that is precisely what I will do as soon as Customer Service opens in twelve hours. I thought everyone got a total of 1500 extra points.
And BTW if I was just trolling there is another (unregulated) DDO related forum I could log in to for that.
