Thanks turbine for giving Completionists Artificer

I never post on here, alot of what I see in game and out gets me abit discouraged with how turbine treats its costumers, and makes decisions with regards to this game.

With that being said whenever turbine does something that is good, I should thank them as well.

So thank you for giving the class Artificer to Completionists. That was a very cool thing you did, and it went a long way to earning some respect back. It actually put a smile on my face when I didnt have to buy it to regain my completionist.

So Thank you Turbine.

They where not granted the past life feat or counted torward regaining thier past life.

This just make me more frustrated with Turbine; and more apparent that the maneuver (as that is what it obviously is at this point) to scratch more money out of people that already pay every month to have complete access -- the VIPs. If the decision was made that it was okay to give the class to some account without requiring favor unlock then it should be fine to give it away to all those individuals that pay every month for the access without favor unlock.

This decision by Turbine make it abundantly clear that the decision to not include sufficient favor in U11 to unlock Artificier is a calculated decision to deny paying customers that for which they have already paid.

VIPs not getting immediate access to the class (unlockable or otherwise) is its own brand of fail -- I do not contest that -- but it does not detract from the cool.

I say this as a holder of two VIP accounts who probably won't be rolling an Artificer until U12 or later. This shouldn't be relevant, but some people like to harp on things like this with "Shut it, you can't feel my pain!". :D

Time devoted in just one very specific way, why is getting completionist rewarded this way when others have played just as long or longer? Idk, doesnt really bother me... I'm not VIP but they should have it.

I agree, it was a very nice gesture to completionists. The issue is that when you have a collection of people already feeling slighted because they are not getting access to Artificer and they think they should be, seeing another group of people receiving Artificer for free is salt in the wound.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but it's human nature for that to happen.

No some of them got their compeltionists in less time than I play they just power gamed it they are no more devoted or desirving then the rest of us I edited because my first response was thinking they got the past life free then I read on and got even madder I have been here over 5 years thats more time than most of them dont you think

This was a great thing to do with Completionists. It would still have been a great thing to do for completionists even if it was possible to unlock Arti via favour at U11 launch.

I too, will also not be buying arti till U12 (and man that's hard, people in the guild have and are playing them right now and I wanna), I'm still hacked off re the treatment of VIPs on this one, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a nice gesture for completionists and Turbine should be thanked for that (note that I have zero completionists or even anyone on anything other than a 1st life for that matter)

I was ready to pay points for Artificer first thing today, but for some reason I came to check the forums before downloading the update and buying the new class, and saw this.

Now, I'm seriously reconsidering more than just the purchase of Artificer.

Really slimey move, Turbine, really slimey.
