True Reincarnation (TR) and Artificer

The release notes have the following posted in it "Players can True Reincarnate into an Artificer if they have the Artificer class unlocked"

To me this means I purchase the class then grab my L20 and TR into an artificer. Do you guys agree?

If I can't TR into an artificer will I be able to cancel the TR or would it be too late at the point where you choose a class?

I have not TR'ed before and got a heart of wood in a chest and some anti mummy elixer also in a chest. I would hate to waste this rare loot on a bust TR attempt.

You wouldn't be able to get your heart back, short of asking GMs (who probably wouldn't do it), but you won't restart your character until you actually finish the character recreation process. If Artificer is not available, you can just abort the recreation process and keep your original character.

But, I believe it works, because it worked on Lamannia. Unless there's some new bug on Live, you should be fine.

A follow up question: If I TR and have the 32 point build does this mean I get 34 points on my TR?

I don't think that anyone could convince me to TR into an Artificer until the first brave souls uncover the most significant bugs over the next week or two.

Yes.

Yes. But actually, you don't even need 32-point builds unlocked. All first TRs start at 34-points (except Drow, who start at 30).

what kind of heart did you pull in the chest?

As far as I'm aware, you can't pull a True heart of wood directly out of a chest. That means you either have a lesser heart or a greater heart and those won't allow you to TR.

Arties are not available to LR/GR. But they are available to TR.

That is one way of looking at it, or maybe looking at it in another way; it is one of the classes we all have to TR through to get 'completionist'?

In any event, I'm going to try it, if it doesn't work out to well I will not bore the community by posting a weepy thread about it :D (or maybe I will ....)
