I'm looking to see if i can find a few generous souls willing to take me on an Hox run (for training purposes) or if there is something in place already. i've done a fair bit of research on the raid, so i have an idea on how it should go but everyone knows well enough that seeing it done and doing it yourself are two separate things.

the only toon i have available for it is soyoucalled, (20 clr). I'm usually on between 10pm-1 am eastern (GMT-5)

thank you in advance

Hey Umplehat!

Yeah, I too would like to learn the Hound of Xoriat raid. Whenever you manage to find a PUG to go with, perhaps I can get Metalbone in on it, also.

I, too, have studied some up on the raid. I can hear/speak/read/chat English, and can follow directions pretty well. :)

Intel Req'd is running HoX tonight at 8PM Eastern; if there's space we'd be happy to take you along and show you the ropes. The raid isn't too bad, especially on a healer. The puppies do all the work :)

If our raid fills or you can't be on at that time, try sending a tell to Kaillou or Sobre later tonight or this week and I'll see about getting a party together to show you what to do.

I rarely see Intel's LFM :/

but to OP, whenever you want to run HoX and see me online on any of my toons, if I have time I will put an LFM and get a group and teach you the raid, it's rather simple!

Hey...good luck on your upcoming HoX run :) I may not be on your server, but I'd like to impart some (hopefully) helpful tips.

--As a cleric, your essential job is to keep the pups alive. Spamming them with cure is one way to go. The longer the pups are alive, the better, as they're going to be attacking Mama dog.

--A caster typically will buff the pups with mass bulls and bears. Don't be afraid to ask if someome has this taken care of.

--Make sure the tank has a solid fog clickie. It's essential to pulling pup aggro off of folks when the stone collecting is being done. It's also essential, as Mama needs to focus on the tank, andnot her own children turning on her :p

Good luck :)

We run 1-3 raids per night. Lately though, we've been filling (or overfilling) with guildies before we can even look at pugs. Which is awesome, but also sucks, because (a) some nights we can't even take all our guildies along, and (b) we don't get to group with people outside the guild.

I assumed as much. I have managed to get in 1 Intel LFM, that was one month back, an epic DQ2 hosted by... Marypoppins? You folks where chilled out thru out the pre and raid

I was about to make a comment along those lines.

IR has some of the most dedicated players you're likely to find and that results in consistently full groups.

On those rare occasions when there is an opening for non-IR folks, you can bet it fills REALLY quickly and for good reason.

And no, I am not a member of IR. I just know the caliber of their players.

Yeah, if I'm not doing anything with my guildies and I see an IR group up for most any raid, I try to get in as fast as I can. I ran my first Shroud, my first HoX, and my first VoD with them, and they were patient and quite willing to teach a newb.
