View Full Version : Barbarian 32 Point HORC DPS Monster

Hey there looking for a HORC barb, with solid DPS and survivability. This is what I came up with (but he's pure), not adverse to splashing it (2 or 4 levels of FTR seems best) but would need a good reason to. Please give me that reason! =)

This is what I came up with, any recommendations are welcome though. DPS is his main focus but he needs to be survivable. He'd start at 4th with a Canifex and 3 rage clickie. That would give him 3 x2 rages per rest at 1.5 minutes or so at 4th level.

Stunning Blow

Very solid build... The only think I would suggest is to get Stunning Blow much much earlier... It's a fun useful feat that gives you SOMETHING to do other than swing swing swing. You can put off GTHF until 18...

So what about tossing Stunning Blow before ITWF as well? Anyone think there is a big difference there?

Anyone have any idea if it hurts the DPS to splash in 2 Ftr levels for the extra feats and heavy armour prof?

2 ftr levels gives you +1 str and haste boost along with 2 feats, but costs you +2str from might capstone and mighty rage (another +2 str from memory)

Dont splash more than 2 levels of anythign on a barb, not worth loosing the third teir of frenzy beserker

Hmm so giving up 3 str which is effectively +3 dmg with my TWF.

I could take wpn focus (helps with the POW attack) say an extra toughness or great cleave. that's hard to say if it's worth if for sure.

Will have to think on that one.

Think I will move stunning blow in front of ITWF though.

Define survivability. I don't think a toon without any saves is really survivable.

weapon focus is only +1 tohit, doesn't worth it, that feat is only used when required like warchanters and kensai fighters. greater cleave cooldown is quite long and the feat is not quite relevant, at least less than stunning blow i would say.

Yeah I think I will stay pure Barb. Moving up the Stunning Blow is probably prudent, gives me 2 tactics against the casters (trip and Stun) and they are the real problem for me!

Is 340 enough "base" HP?

With a +6 con item that is going to add another 60 so at a minimum that is 400.

Tack in the extra 80 for raging and he's sitting at 480.

Will probably have a greater false life to so that is +30

So 510 Hp. Is that enough or do I have to fix in more toughness somewhere?
