With all the talk of wether or not rogues will still be useful or not with the intoduction of the Artificer I got to thinking. I do not have the answer but I do have an idea that may help the rogue. With the fact that just about every rogue skill can be duplicated to some extent thru splashes and dillitante feats I could see them not being looked for to join very many groups.

Heres the idea. A special rogue ability that would boost their desireability. Give the rogue some form of a loot finder ability. This could be implemented by giving the rogue a +1 loot boost at level 5. This boost could increase by +1 every 5 level capping at a +4 at level 20. This ability would apply to all members of the group the rogue is a part of. It would also be non-stackable meaning that having more than 1 rogue would not increase the bonus beyond the one of the highest rogue in the group.

I could see this making the rogue one of the most desired party members right along with the healer. lets face it who doesn't like having a better shot a getting the item they are looking for.

This is just an idea so feel free to make suggestions or flame it as you desire.

Not a bad idea. The only problem is loot bonuses do not apply to rare/named loot. In most cases loot is sold to a vendor for a bit of scratch.

Yes, I little extra coin from your vendor loot is nice, not super substantial in most cases.

I would also like to add....most seasoned players do appreciate the value of a well played rogue. They add substantially to DPS as well as the added benefit of trapping and sexy dance moves.
