Insightful Strike is probably bugged

If my Artificer 3 / Rogue 1 (Dex 8, Int 20, Weapon Focus Ranged) uses the repeating crossbow from the island (+ 1 enchantment bonus) and Insightful Strike the die displays an attack bonus of + 5, + 6, + 10 or + 11 and the inventory displays only an attack bonus of +4.

I had the same problem when starting out my character. When I ate a +2 dex tome at level 7, it brought my dex to 10. That is when insightful strikes started working for me. The -1 to hit that a 8 base dex score is giving may be the overall problem. I was paying attention to my to-hit bonus when I ate the tome and insightful strikes suddenly kicked in. I can't confirm this, but maybe try getting ahold of a +2 or better dex item and see if it fixes the problem.

At first, I was thinking of the handwraps problem, and I had to switch out a bonus to hit item to fix the overall hit score, but it didn't seem like the issue. I started out with a max con/max int warforge.

I am probably going to start with 14 dex/18 con/max int next time to get rapid shot and start with a better hit score.

i've noticed something similar. a simple cat's grace wand (since i'm not bothering to stop to craft decent gear or anything like that) has made all the difference on my end.

Same, i've /bugged it. But it IS a pain, think i'll grab a +1 tome and an item, since double wanding is lame. Good to confirm above that a +2 tome that brings you to 0 mod works too. Stupid negative number

Yep, if i change the race from Warforged (Dex 8) to Halfling (Dex 10) is problem is gone, but sometimes one of the bolts gets a + 5 attack bonus and it doesnt matter if Insightful Strike is active or not.
