Sell all the scrolls on a vendor for the love of God how hard is this....

It actually must be quite hard in fact. In all my time playing this game I can not for the life of me remeber any scroll ever being added to any vendor.

They have been removed, but I do not recall ever seeing a new spell get a scroll in any vendor shop. Conclusion the guy who wrote the shopkeeper code is no longer at Turbine or no longer assigned to it and no one else ever got assigned to do it or it is just waaaay to hard to do.

Also, am I remembering correctly? have scrolls ever been added to the vendors?

Yes, all (or most at least) spells added from mod 1 through 8 were also added to stores (only up to level 7 spells of course). They stopped adding spells to stores when they changed DDO to "DDO Unlimited" from what I can tell.

Yeah I wasn't sure if I should count those early ones as most of them came with increases with the level cap.

But still the shopkeeper guy was probably still around for the beginning of the game.

Need to do some digging and check old notes to see how many were added.

Personally I think all spells should be available as scrolls, just priced accordingly, but this would undoubtedly cause problems.....

EDIT:
MOD 2.1: Niacs cold ray and Knock scrolls were added to vendors.
Eberron Unlimited: Protection from element scrolls will be sold at proper vendors
Digging back through all the old release notes these are the only time I can find any mention of scroll being added to vendors...

They didnt always explicitely state that spells were added to vendors (And many were previously sold but later removed such as WoF and Dimension Door). For instance, Acid Rain, Chain Lightning, Cometfall, Create Undead, Force Missiles, and Undeath to Death were all added in Mod 3 and also added to vendors.

Module 6 also added two low level spells and despite cries of overpoweredness were also added to vendors: Merfolks Blessing and Master's Touch (Portable Hole only)

some bugs from you guys would help my case. ;DWhy?

Why can it not be enough that after years of player's pleading that you guys finally put some new scrolls on the vendors for the new spells? Particularly with a whole new class with a near totally new spell list to populate?

Why is it so hard to reverse that one bit of Dev policy when it would only be a boon to the players who have been asking for such a change for literally years now?

I don't get it.

To support Artificer testing, they don't even need to put them on vendors.

Just have some GM load the scrolls into auction house... surely an administrator must have the ability to get scrolls and do that.

If they have to create them on a character and put them in as a player would, that would take forever

They stuffed the AH for crafting testing.

/signed, yes we need a new scroll vendor...might be nice to have him in house C or marketplace. Fortunately, I still have some bb scrolls on a mule...goes searching her mules to find stack of bb scrolls from before they were removed from vendors...

Update on my latest bug report: OTHER: Artificer Spells not working'

After careful testing under the horrible duress of not having any scrolls to test spells with ( :) ) I have determined that the bug with insightful strike is based on the character having a negative dex. So someone with a positive modifier is fine, the spell will work for them, but someone with 8 dex will keep their -1 to hit.

So if you could update that bug report, that'd be nice. So now about some other scrollies so I can test the other spells....?

In other news, not all necessarily all bugs:

- Elemental weapons apply to pets and everything but the pets don't do any extra damage with their attacks. Some error messaging might be useful here "Subject doesn't have an suitable weapon to enhance" is missing.

- Heyton's rest has voice dialog all over the place from even other completely unrelated quests. I was unable to bug in-game when it happened since the bug tool didn't cooperate, sorry, but figured you guys knew about it. (Note to self, check out Tharask Arena which on live has the issue of it's audio being in the wrong order now, wonder just how bad it has gotten after this update)

[eventually got tool to work]

- Starter docent for warforged has not been updated like the starter robe was. (Gods, this HAS to be a bug/omission right, you guys don't hate WF that much?)

- Repeaters and other crossbows: If you time it just right you can bypass the load animation if you have rapid shot, this allows a great crossbow to fire like a machine gun, and a repeater (when done right, it's very hard here since your window is much smaller) to fire like ...a faster machine gun.

- Improved Precise Shot is 19 dex (as per pnp) and didn't get updated to DDO's standard of 17 dex, like greater two weapon fighting (both styles require 19 dex in PnP, but greater was lowered since it was deemed it would gimp people too much - I mean, if you need a 19 dex might as well forget about insightful strike and just use dex to hit to begin with)

- Pet's sometimes just stand around and sometimes just disengage from an enemy to run up to you in spite of still being within point blank's range - their leash is way too small, much smaller than other hirelings.

- Pet's don't give any feedback when you press their activate intimidate action. Occasionally you know they are doing it because the creatures around them get intimidated. On the plus side, they seem to do a good job of using the skill on their own.

- Barbarian hirelings should rage the latest when surrounded by enemies.

- Elite progression does not always seem to work:

http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/3896/noelitebonus1.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/839/noelitebonus1.jpg/)

Not.. eligible.. WHY? you can clearly see it's my first time ever in that quest, and it's on elite... but ehh whatever. At least the progression was saved and I could use it next time. And yet once i left Korthos (all on elite of course) and I enter waterworks:

http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/748/noelitebonus2.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/noelitebonus2.jpg/)

... my streak is reset?! Why?!!

- Pet's sometimes target breakables, but this got me an idea.. if we could get a toggable enhancement called "smash boxes" I'd take it, so the pet saves ME the work of smashing crates and runs all over doing it, it'd be REALLY awesome.

- A serious limitation with the crafting system from a complete newbie point of view: You NEED to pull a random repeater before you can craft it, but since I haven't pulled one, I can't craft one.. sigh. A blank item shop or the ability to craft plain ole blanks is prolly a good idea.

- Augment summoning does affect the puppy, but it does not improve it's fortification. (Could be that augment is broken, or simply not stacking with existing fortification, but since the description says it improves fortification, this seems like a problem)

- I can't make my puppy look like a metal golden retriever ("Ok, I'm going to toss this halfling, now, go fetch halfling boy, go go! No no, that's a kobold, no, go again! Aha, yes, good boy!") :)

I'm think you can buy non-magic ones from the weapon shop in the harbor. I know they sell most weapons and armor there. These can be used for crafting. Atleast before you could deconstruct shards I bought weapons there to apply shards to just to deconstruct again for essences. No docents or handwraps unfortunately.

Sol I can answer the bravery bonus thing...

It has an intentional limit on it that it only applies if you are within two levels of the quest level on normal. This means that you would get it if you were level 3 running an elite quest that counts as level 3, but not if you are level 4 running that same quest as the picture shows.

They really need to have the reason why you are not getting the bonus on that screen. It is far too difficult to understand otherwise for most people.

Regarding the exp bonus from bravery, I think there is also a known that korthos does not offer the bravery bonus.
