View Full Version : 16/4-bard/fighter need advice

So the build is suppose to be a dps battle bard i took 13 strength for the power attack feat. which allowed me acess to warchanter enchantment but because i needed 17 dexterity for improved/greater two weapon fighting i didnt feel i had enough stats to buff up strength so i grabbed weapon finese and used my dexterity for attack rolls which forces me to use rapiers so i grabbed some piercing attack/critical feats. i didnt feel i needed empower/maximize because i grabbed a couple healing enchantments but i dont plan on using heals very often unless needed I also didnt take multiple Toughness feats. because as a bard it only gives a little bit of hp each time so instead i grabbed extra toughness enchantments In my skills i only took 1 tumble because as long as i can do a roll thats good enough for me but i took hide/move silently because i plan to have a sort of rogue gameplay but i wanted the backup heals of a bard and the buffs lastly i took 4 fighter levels as opposed to the most bard/fighter builds where there are only 2 because i fealt i could use the extra feats. once i had some rank 6 bard spells and didnt see anything i perticurly wanted further into the bard levels

So with all that explained please take a look and help me with any flaws or other advice because im still learning thank you :D P.S. i was trying to make this an end-game build and am willing to put up with a crappy leveling if it means ill be stronger when it matters

First of all, 34 point buy and past-life feats are only available to characters that reached lvl 20 and reincarnated. Have you already done that?

If you're indeed a true reincarnate, consider 18/15/15/8/8/10 (or less str, more con/cha). Buying a +2 dex tome for plat should not be a problem for a lvl 20.
If you're actually a new player who is willing to invest RL cash to buy 32 point buy and +2 tome, consider these stats instead 16/15/16/8/8/12.
If you're a new player who does not want to pay cash for 32 point buy, fighting with two weapons is not recommended for bards, because with 28 points it's not going to be good. Use two-handed weapon instead and dump dex to 8. Stats e.g. 17/8/16/8/8/13.

Im working on TRing my fighter thats not a problem and if it turns out I don't TR I'm not far from 32pb by means of favor although money isn't the issue it just seems more logical to put a little more work into it then just buy it second I don't need strength past 13 because of finese but for warchanter I need power attack which requires 13 strength and instead need boosted dexterity because with finese dexterity takes strengths place as for constitution this isnt a tank build but more of dps with buffs/heals so 318 hp unbuffed and naked is a fair amount for this playstyle although if theres anything I might change its dropping charisma a little to grab 18 dexterity at start and recover by using some tomes later on also I meant to make it True nuetral my bad but thanks for the tips :)

What TR doesn't have a +2 DEX tome? :confused:
