Just think of this as a wish list for weapon affects that you would like added to the game. Name the affect, what it does, and an example.
Heartseeker:
Instant kill similiar to vorpal but on a piercing weapon. On a natural 20, mobs heart is pierced causing instant death. (ex. +2 heartseeker rapier of pure good).
Skullsmasher:
Instant kill similiar to Vorpal but on a blunt weapon. On a natural 20, mobs skull is crushed causing instant death. (ex. +1 skullsmasher warhammer of undead bane).
Greater Vampirism:
Similiar to Vampirism but allows +2-4 granted to wielder on successful hit. (ex. +2 Greater Vampirism battle axe)
Faster Returning:
Thrown weapon returns at a faster rate. Thus increasing the rate of attack by 10-20 percent> (ex. + 1 faster returning throwing axe).
Force (protection):
Applied to armor, shields, and other equipment. Acts a permanent shield spell or nightshield spell or procs when user hit for same spells at level 5 caster. (ex. Force Bracers of spearbane).
Greater spear and axe bane:
You get the idea but increased to dr of /7 or /10.
Thunderclap:
On a failure roll of 1. You miss striking ground causing friend and mobs to save verses AOE thunder taking 2d6 sonic damage and/or knocked down on failed same vs reflex. (ex. +3 Thunderclap quarterstaff). (I missed the cursed items from PnP that gave you a great bonus to one thing and a negative to another, but thank you for the madness items :). )
Can you think of any others? I know most of these are melee based, but what would casters like to see. Pick magical affects that aren't to uber or would ruin the game by being too overpowered. Looking forward to your replies.
