Ok, I've used the search feature a small amount, but I'm going to post this to see if I can get any help faster. What is the best build for Saves? I tried making a decent toon for it (42 60 42 at lvl 15 so far) But I'm convinced they can go much higher. I'm wondering if anyone can point me in a decent general direction.

That already seems like overkill, are you trying to do this for actual game use or for bragging rights?

Because you should be very well off with what you have now.

I'd think Paladin 2 (charisma bonus to all, strong Fort), Monk 18 for the highest general saves. I think Pal 3/Monk 17 give the same saves.


If you want to push Reflex slightly higher at the expense of Will you could take 1 level of Ranger instead of Monk18 or Pal 3.



No real analysis... just my off-the-cuff reading.

Agreed with Post number 2.

You will do fine with those saves at end game, if it is just a flavor build wanting to see how high you can get your saves, post 3 will most likely help you. :)

Probably something like this would be the max. I didn't fill out the skills. 38/38/41 naked and unbuffed, with an extra +4 vs poison and +3 vs fear, +4 to all saves whenever Resilience is active. Then add on all your equipment, buffs, action boost, stand by a high lvl pally who doesn't know how to spend his action points wisely, etc.

18 paladin/1monk/1fvs with the same stats/feats would be higher. The 12/6/2 does have higher base saves (16/13/13), but while the 18/1/1 would only be 15/10/10, it also gets +6 from pali aura and +3 from defensive stance.

Hmm, good point. I forgot defender stance gives a bonus to saves. The aura bonus could come from a pocket pally though, haha. And the loss of 2 monk feats would mean dropping Resist Poison and something else, probably Bullheaded (the horror!). An 18/1/1 would still just eke out a couple extra points on his saves under ideal conditions.

I have a 43/41/51 2 monk/2 paladin/16 sorc with a +5 item and gh for +4 more. FOP of course. CHA comes to 36.

The build should be pretty obvious, so posting it is kinda pointless.

Lots more to go once cha is capped.

Don't forget Walk of the Sun and Halfling Hero's Companion, while we're adding in buffs from other sources. :D

I'm not doing it for bragging rights so much as I just don't like being hit. Those saves are with self buffs, gh, holy aura, haste, and another couple. My toon is going to finish out at 12 Rogue/4 monk/4 pally. I'm doing the build for fun, to see what I can create with what knowledge I have of the game. Without those spell buffs, she can hit 36 47 37 standing, before I use either the +10 Madness effects (would only give me +7 to either will or reflex do to the Icy Raiment, and only one or the other. But, it's still +7) I have not tried using a full ships buffs plus full raid spell buffs to see what I will hit, but judging from the general reaction, what I can accomplish now is more than enough. Now, to work on AC for trash protection and DPS for....well DPS. I crit for 90+ right now in wind stance (I feel this sucks hard) at lvl 16 (just hit 17, havent tested) and do between 30-60 normally per hit if I get sneak. I also use the Charged gauntlets, so this is added to that crit number. I have whirling steel strike and weapon finesse, but I think I'm going to get 2 sunblades and just not be centered when I fight with them, until I can get 2 GS blades. I love my toon, but I need to LR her when I hit 20 and tweak some minor things, mostly feat list. She is really good at being a rogue, has 22 cha so LoH goes for 92, which i use up real fast only having 2. But, it is enough to get out of a tight spot and run. She is a good solo toon, and is good at trash cleanup (I use Unstable Handwraps and a +2 Paralyzing Handwraps of Deception with Festival Icy Burst on them depending on the quest) I appreciate the feedback, thank you :)

I like having very high reflex saves. Super high will and fort probably isnt very useful.
