This time, I was the pike…

Ok, here’s the situation: I am playing a wizard, and my computer is having terrible lag (I could see that I was about 1 to 2 minutes behind my wife, who was also in the raid).

So basically I was completely useless, very frustrating. I was upset when I looted my chest, and left the instance soon after that to lick my digital wounds, when I realized that I had pulled a large devil scale.

No one said anything to me, but I was wondering: Since I basically piked the whole raid, should I have put the scale up for a roll?

No. Chances are, someone actually noticed it. Not too high though! I do 11 people shrouds often because of "Oh **** I'm on timer" people after we're in part 1 already. There really isn't much of a difference. And since raids don't scale, a piker doesn't matter either :D

Q, no you should not have.

/Piking in a raid is a time-honored tradition and in-itself can be fundamentally life-changing in terms of self-awareness.

If, indeed, your PC was the cause of your /piking *cough* yeah right *cough* you must be held blameless. However, if you achieved a raid completion via /piking you deserve congratulations and must keep the fruits of your false-labor.

Congratulations...you have begun your journey to self-awareness in DDO.

If you used that logic, then only the tank and puzzle solver in Reavers would ever get loot, lolz.

norm shroud = whatevs.

Also, I'm not piking, I'm just slow.
