So, I know I haven't been here as long as some, so my thread may not be a new idea and I'm sure someone with a far older join date than mine will point that out and how pointless this exercise is. However, on a whim, I thought it'd be fun to cataloque the common things we see in the forum, like the scenario in the previous sentence. So, what types of threads do we always see, what types of posts in those thread do we always see. That kind of thing. I know I won't get them all, and don't intend to, if others find this fun they can do that.
1) Someone posts about a horrible pug experience they had where they seemed to be the only competent person and the group failed miserably.
1a) People post in the above thread congratulating the OPs awesomeness and decrying the state of pugs.
1b) Someone else posts in the above thread pointing out that they could have totally soloed the quest in that situation and since the OP didn't they must be a noob.
2) Someone posts about some random accomplishment of theirs.
2a) This is followed shortly thereafter by someone posting in the thread how he totally was doing that same thing like 3 years ago, before we even had xyz spell or gear so its not really an accomplishment.
3) Someone starts a thread to complain about a blue bar not giving out a buff. Another person then posts in the thread about how that buff comes in a pot.
3a) A blue-bar starts a thread to complain about people asking for a specific buff that comes in a pot. Another person comes on and points out that it only takes X sp to cast and is much more efficient from a caster than every individual in the raid/group.
4) A guild starts a thread about how awesome they are and that you are totally not invited.
4a) They then keep posting said threads, but seriously, they don't care about you or what you think of them.
5) Someone can't complete a quest so they post how some game mechanic needs to be changed
5a) People respond to said thread with comments ranging from how much of a noob the person is, how we dont need easy buttons, and how you could complete the quest if you only had X gear or used Y tactic.
6) Someone posts a thread about how to improve PvP, which of course involves changing a PvE mechanic
6a) Everyone posts about how this isn't a PvP game.
6b) The original someone starts posting at least one thread daily with a new suggestion centered around PvP.
7) Someone will start a thread about how if only Turbine put the store on sale for 50% off they'd totally make a lot of money.
7a) People comment about how they should be running things instead of those people at Turbine.
7b) Other people point out that Turbine is a business.
8) This new thing, I don't like it and it must be changed back. (There was a thread parodying this).
8a) Any common theme in the forums has a thread parodying it.
9) Someone posts something, such as people's specific names in this very thread......IBTL
9a) This thread has been locked.
9b) A new thread is posted on the very same subject, usually asking why they got locked, repeat above steps.
