Bug reporting this as well, posting here to try to get more info on what causes it.

Three eChrono runs today, and after killing the Cojoined Abashai Devastator, at the end of every single one of them, there were six of the orange-named Bearded Devils in the elevated room where the Epic Chest spawns.

Not sure what causes them to spawn/follow people in, but it was frustrating the third time, when we nearly wiped to them while on the load screen between the Rusty Nail and the Epic Chest area.

Just a suggestion to players - if you own a Radiance Guard or Fearsome item, put it on when you walk through that portal at the end.

An earth savant can earth grab anything they can target, targeting mobs from the tower with grab will pull their aggro and the mobs that can teleport up there will do so when you have their aggro.

I doubt this was all griefer-related, especially on 3 separate completed runs. Still, a good point.

Were people immobilizing some devils and leaving them behind in the outside area? Thinking Jade Prison and FtS here since their duration is a little longer than Hold/Dance/most any CC these days. If they broke and couldn't get to you in the middle, they may have followed up top since they apparently do not rubberband.

Seen it happen many times, thought it was a know issue. My guild tries to run it about 2-5 times a week, and that happens to us about every 1 in 5 runs....if not a hair more often.

My guess would be some form of inadvertent aggro, such as the new FvS Aura of Menace(and/or Archon) effecting mobs that are on the ground, then they teleport up to you. I've also seen sombody pull the aggro on purpass to grief the party, but I'm not sure how they did it(I think it was an Arcane Archer with Precise Shot on to bypass the invisable walls).

But yeah, this really sucks, especially right when loot is being rolled uppon or even as you're opening the chests.

Man, why do AA's get the blame all the time? That wall stops ALL physical attacks and rays, arrows included. The only things that MIGHT bypass it besides Earth Savant's Earth Grab are the new DOT spells (if you're somehow in range of the spell) and AoV archon. It could also just be a leftover from the final fight, similar to how Claws appeared after Velah was already dead in eVoN6 before the 10.2 patch.

I have never seen this bug. I have seen light monks with the Kukan-do ability pull mobs to the top though. It has been an attempt to get some extra scrolls in the past, but was discontinued after many tries and seeing nothing dropped, leading to the (more or less) accepted belief that once the end fight is done, no more scrolls will drop.

You can also hit mobs with Firestorm through the force field and gain aggro/teleport. Found that out by accident and was VERY supprised when I saw the teleport animation :o

yeah tempests get improved precise shot as well, though the arrows dont go through that barrier that i could see.

Ahh ok, I wasn't quite sure if they could go through that one or not. I know a few barriers can be bypassed by Improved Precise Shot.

I've never seen that, however a few devils will teleport into the Phoenix tavern every now and then when I'm scroll farming.

this is an issue I experienced as well, but I think I may know what is causing your problem sirgog. You see, while the orb of protection may prevent you from running out and from enemies hitting you with spells, they can go into the orb untouched. So, if anyone acquires their agro (which can be easily done by anyone with ranged weapons or a monk with kukan-do) they come straight for you, I noticed this when I was at the end and the party wanted a chance at scroll drops and someone mentioned that this was possible.

Looks like the main conjecture is that it was a FvS Aura of Menace aggroing the mobs. (Although the groups were mostly the same players, I'm sure it wasn't deliberate griefing - once would be plausible, but everyone seemed annoyed the first time, and most griefers don't repeat unless someone finds it funny)

Will keep that in mind - as a workaround, any FvS is to be the last onto the final platform, and a bunch of crowd control will be set up there too.

You could always have the FvS invis'ed or in sneak to suppress the aura and not let them come out til their archon runs out. If they fixed it like they said they would of course

Don't know what causes it, but every time someone goes to loot the mailbox chest while people are in that warded chest room, devils port up there.

Pulling Devils on afk'ers while people switch has become a popular past time:)
But no one in our groups get mad about it, just a little fun instead of getting annoyed and bored when people switch.

Seems candidate for the 'one res shrine at the end of every raid', just like they finally did to VoN last patch.

Even that wouldn't really solve the problem. Coming back at 10% hp right next to a cluster of cleaving Bearded Devils that always hit and hit for about 15% of the HP most players have unbuffed is not good for your repair bill.

I've always been a fan of trash spawning while looting in Epic Raids. I was sad when they changed it in Von6 :(

Another chance for a scroll really.

And more of a chance to pass an item to the wrong player - potentially someone that has left the instance.

Especially if passing it in a hurry because there's noone capable of healing still in the instance.

Aww come on, enough easy buttons and hardly any incentive to reduce risks already.

A better idea IMO is if people hurry up and roll/put for roll/pass shards. Less farting around, more looting, more raids!

Not really possible to do it quickly sometimes.

If an SOS shard dropped under my name, I'd know immediately whether I needed it or not. Likewise if a caster necklace shard drops, I know automatically that I don't want it and neither does anyone else.

If a more obscure shard drops (but one that one of my characters might use - say the Moron Belt), I need to check my shard list.

There must be hundreds of people wearing the Epic Moron Belt on Khyber. It makes perfect sense now!

I have seen this several times, but it was always just some caster goofing around drawing their aggro and getting them to teleport up there for fun...

I dunno if this was suggested or not, but there's a possibility that this might have happened:

Caster casts an AOE spell on mobs and runs through inn then portal to end...
Or,
Caster casts a DoT on mob and runs through inn then portal to end.

Since the Inn is safe as it's outside the map area and they can't teleport to it, but if you're back on the end bit, same map, and hence possibly teleporting up to meet you. Although the likelihood will then be an AoE causing the issue.

How did you do 3 completed runs of Epic Chrono on the same toons in the same day? Have they removed the timer or something?

Same players, not same toons. Many people sitting at cap have multiple toons to do multiple raid/epic runs with. Once I get my caster back up, I'll have 4 again. 2 of which will be marginally useful.

Seen this too, but never when it wasn't on purpose. Mostly seen it done by earth savant sorcs.
